Experts, please advise on this paint condition

I bought this vehicle a while ago (Acura RDX). Based on the CarFax when I bought it, it looks to have been repainted from hail. I knew that ahead of purchase.

What I didn't realize however was all these random streaks of grey'ish material throughout door jambs and rubber trim. Based on my research so far, this is compound, right?

How can I remove this, be it by hand or DA? I need exact product/technique advice please; for both the paint and the rubber trim it has impacted.

Use a panel wipe and microfiber towel. either dried wax or compound. No big deal> Good luck

It could be product that got stuck there because whoever polished it didn't tape the trim Trim also gets oxidized and faded with time so it could be a combination of all factors.

This product is very good at cleaning trim and removing stuff like that: Meguiars #39 Professional Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner, clean vinyl, meguiars interior cleaner

If the trim is clean but faded and needs to be restored, this is the product you want: Solution Finish Black Plastic & Vinyl Restorer

Once clean (and restored, if needed), you should seal it. Use something like: Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant, rubber trim sealant, rubber protectant, exterior trim products, metal sealer A little bit goes a long way.

If it's just dried product on the paint, a good wash will remove it. If it's hard to come off then use some detailing clay.

I'd try just using some soapy water and a old fashioned cotton terrycloth wash cloth.

Most compounds and polishes are water soluble.
