Exterior trim?

Hi everyone, I have a 1996 Honda Civic which has a good amount of exterior black trim and plastics. I was looking for a really good exterior trim product for these pieces. But don't know if I'm ready to pay $20 a bottle for one.

I know another problem using trim products is the dripping and bleeding when it rains or after washing the car.

I know this personally-------(I know, don't blast me for using turtle Wax) but I tried Turtle Wax's Trim restorer for several months, and I was surprised that it made my trim look great, but when it rained, or after washing my car, it leaked really bad.

So really looking for something that won't bleed, and looks great, for under $20.

I got this and did a good job.

But if you're on a budget get back to black from Mothers.

CG VRP does good on trim. But remember it is only a dressing. If you want new looking trim you need a trim restorer and then top it with a trim sealant.
 
This is one of the best exterior trim products made. It has all the features you want and some you didn't mention. It has restorative properties, it lasts for months and a little goes a long way. Yes, it's pricey, but it's worth it. Buy the bottle and sell what you don't want or give it away to loved ones. It's that good.

What are some good "trim restorers" I've used bondo back to black with good results
 
I just ordered some of Poorboys Trim Restorer and it works great at restoring that fresh black look and adds protection that beads up as well. It smells like sun lotion and it is similar to ultima tire and trim guard in use and results but much less expensive.
 
For most exterior trim UTTG is all that is needed and as good as it gets for trim in decent to good condition and lasts months.

For really faded trim I now use Solution Finish. It works incredibly well, doesn't wash off like other trim restorers, and isn't greasy.

C4 lasts months but is extremely costly.

Carpro has a plastic coating coming out that I'm looking forward to trying also.
 
Thankyou guys very much, I think I'm narrowing it down to a few at this time, with either the Ultima, VRT , or The New 2012 Meguiars Tire and Trim Gel. Thankyou all for the responses and advice!

I've read up on, and got alot of info on, the Ultima, and vrt, but I haven't seen any reviews or personal experiences with the Megs Tnew Tire and Trim gel? Gonna ask around.
