Extraction Technique

When you are extracting a carpet, do you extract until the water you are pulling out is clear? :thankyousign:

I extract until the carpet looks the way I need it to look. What the water looks like is of no consequence to me.

Generally speaking yeah you would extract until the water is clear/clean
but also make sure that the carpet fibers are clean,and spot free as much as possible too

I extracted some floor mats, yet when they were dry I could see the salt come back somewhat. I guess I need to keep going until the water is clean.

Extract until clear and carpet is clean but do not oversoak. Remember to remove as much liquid as possible at all times.
