fabric protectant

I apply 303 FP with a foam paint brush. I've tried multiple methods and really think that's the best way. You just paint it on like you were paint a wall.

Once it dries, the beading is excellent.

I'm going to do this because there's chance of getting overspray on the vinyl bits, thanks Swan!

Finally success, sprayed the 303 and 341 yesterday, temp was 109. I would still rather wipe it on as spraying creates a mess. When I was using 303 on my floor mats I would spray as they were outside of the vehicle and would use a lot of product. Richy, do you have an estimate of how much 341 you use on average of a vehicle ?. As you had stated I guess I did not use enough product (although I thought I did). Now the price, 16oz of 303 15.00 at Autogeek. 341 is 13.40 for 8oz on DG's site, that is 26.80 for 16oz. Now if 303 lasts 2 years and 341 lasts for 5 DG wins but there are no stats of this comparison that I know of and as much as I like DG products 303 would be the product of choice. Maybe I will try the foam brush approach also although I really do not know how that would be different than the foam applicator other than maybe releasing more product. Which ever one I use it seems like I will need a lot. My seats in the truck are cloth bottoms, seat backs are all fabric on front, sides and back.

Just ordered and received a small container of Gtechniq I1 Smart Fabric. Intend to used it not only in the car soon but also on the kids boots, (& mine as well) when winter rolls around again.

Darn, just noticed in the directions, "Not for use on suede or leather".
So much for the winter boots idea. :(

i would email Kevin from GTechniq and ask him about that.

i know from personnel experience that you can use it just about everything. i have sprayed all my wife's leather and suede shoes and her feet never get wet. i even sprayed this fancy chair she bought because she didn't want anything to soak into the fabric. it was either microfiber or suede like material.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will give him a try.

(Hey, just noticed that I have posted over one thousand posts. TA-DA. :dblthumb2: )
