Faded Bumpers

I have a regular job scheduled for an '07 Jeep. The paint and interior are easy, however the bumpers are always a hassle. They are super faded. I've used various CG products and have even tried NuFinish on this vehicle and I can't seem to get the bumpers to look uniform in color. Anyone have a secret product that they use that works?
 
I like Bondo restore black. Works good on my Jeeps. What kind of Jeep? Heat gun does work, never tried it and like you, I don't know if I would lol.
 
Solution Finish is the way to go, what ever you do do not use a heat gun

It's a Wrangler, so you know, those black bumpers become gray very quickly.

I'm concerned that the Bondo restore would be like ReNu (that's what I meant). It technically does what it says (makes the trim darker) but doesn't help when there are different levels of fade on the trim which leaves splotches.
 
Black Wow is amazing. I just did a FJ Cruiser which has a ton of black trim. Def recommended!
 
If you want something over the counter you can consider Turtle Wax Jet Black Black Endura Shine Trim Coating. It is a black acrylic coating that might work well.

Another one that may work is the new Blackfire Trim Sealant.
 
Either Solution Finish or Blackfire atrium and Tire Sealant are good choices.
 
On my xterra i have too much of that trim too. Got tired of products that lasted a few weeks. Gave it 1-2 knock out.

1. MOTHERS TRIM CLEANER
2. WOLFGANG TRIM SEALANT

Now it can go MONTHS before needing a touch up.
 
Thanks for all the feedback. I may buy a few different items and do a test so everyone can see the results.

a few years ago i tried Meds Renu from Amazon.

love it.

the only thing i never got the chance to try is letting it cure and then putting Opti-Lens on top, but that's something completely unrelated to this thread lol. just something i was always curious about.

that car saw minimal care and was outside for 24/7 365 year after year. overall it needed two applications and that held up for almost a year. the car had MANY paint issues re: failing clear and paint popping off the car from the primer and when the dealership body shop had the car one of the times they repaired it, they did something that make the plastic dry out so i just left it until she sold it at 145k miles.

i have used it on Civic cowling and rain gutters, Mini flares, Wrangler flares and Tacoma flares/rear window surrounds. i don't think they stress enough about prep in their instructions so i clean the trim really well, wipe down with IPA solution, mask the paint, etc.

Why would you not use a heat gun? I have done this one my jeep and my girlfriends Impala. Works amazingly!
 
If you don't have time to wait for something to ship you can use meguiars ultimate black it lasts a very long time I have not experienced it washing off like most over the Counter trim products. It dries non greasy looks good and works.
 
Why would you consider anything temporary? Just go with gTechniq C4 and be done with it! I put C4 on my Hummer three years ago and the cladding / trim still looks like brand new!!!! And I live in the brutal sun/heat of Phoenix, AZ!
