Ok... Here goes. I just completed a total fall detail on my own 2008 Scion xB - Silver metalic. Hit it with the Wolfgang TSW, Finishing Glaze and DGPS. I was driving to a parking garage where I like to take pics when a semi clipped another vehicle and sent it crashing in to the median. When it hit the median, all the glass broke out and I was directly behind it. I stopped to make sure the kids in the car were OK. Aside from some minor scrapes - thank God they were OK. I talk to the Michigan State Trooper - gave my story and went back to my car. I decided to have a look-see and OH MY! The hood, front bumper, windshield, roof, front fenders and grill were SHREDED from the glass hitting my FRESHLY DETAILED xB at 70+ MPH. I was beside myself.

Any way, just dropped her off at the paint shop this morning to get her lookin' good as new!

Wish me luck! Sorry no pics

That would only happen after a complete detail!

Damn that sucks !!!!!!! Well at least you are ok as a car can always be repaired or replaced .A life can not.

Ouch! That sucks!

I feel your pain too bro!!!

I had just put the factory Aero Kit on my TSX a few weeks ago. I was up real late working on her and even gave her a fresh coat of DGPS. The very next day on the way home from work I got rear ended by some guy not paying attention! Not even 12hrs after installing the kit!

That blows! Thank G-d you are the kids were not hurt. Good luck with the repairs.

I got her back! I finally picked up my freshly painted xB! I proceeded to perform a complete interior only detail (17 degrees outside). Gee, I thought being a body shop they'd do a little better job cleaning up after themselves. They used paper towel on the dash leaving lint and paper balls all over, seats still covered in body filler and sanding dust...WOW. Anyways - I used for the first time my Cobra microfiber applicator pads to apply DP Interior Protectant, and it has seperated at the seams after I was only half way done! anyone else experience this?

That sucks about the accident, glad the kids were ok and your car got fixed quickly.

I have never seen a body shop, service center, tint shop, etc not make a mess of the car. The only good place I have found for the mf applicators is the trash can. The tear and lint and get caked easily. Hopefully ag will do something about that soon.

When I got my car last fall, i brought it home and did a wash, clay, aio and dgps. Full interior detail, treated the seats with 303 fabric guard and all of the seals with 303 aerospace protectant. This was a brand new 08, striaght off the truck. A week later I got hit and run in a parking lot by a drunk 70+ woman in a chevy suv, and the body shop that repaired it left deep swirls all over the paint. I just did my annual big detail today so hopefully I don't have a repeat of last year.

I would PM Meagan about the applicators. She is very helpful and hopefully can get you a replacement.

Just like I said above. Two weeks and 1 day after my detail this is what happens.

Got hit pretty much head-on last night by a Audi making a left turn. He had slowed down to yield, then at the last second decided he had time to make it in front of me. I was going 35 and hardly had any time to react. Due to the gravel on the road from the snow we had last week I don't think I lost any momentum. I would estimate he was going about 15.

Everyone is ok. The airbags didn't deploy so I got tossed around a bit. I went to the hospital to get checked out, just some minor bruising and soft tissue damage. I'm wearing a sling and wrist brace and on some pain meds but no real damage done. The other car didn't look nearly as bad but the driver and passenger were quite shaken up, so the design of the crumple zones on the Subaru did their job. I'm just hoping the car is totaled. Looks like there is possibly frame damage, radiator, bumper and front left fender are toast, either severed brake line or blown master cylinder, and the tranny is locked.

Here is the Audi that hit me.

Looks like yours is totaled, i hope insurance company doesnt screw you over. Make sure you visit a doctor for your back, accidents related injuries can be tricky and appear after few days/weeks. GL to you, keep us posted.

you can have a beater and nothing will happen to it and then when you take the garage queen somewhere, well something bad happens!!

Now my garage queen is in the shop too. Not having driven it in a few months, I had to charge the battery up. I was able to drive it for two days before the tranny gave out on me. It is an 07 and only has 8100 miles on it. Never been parked outside over night and now it is sitting in the dealers lot in the rain, ice and snow. Man, I had some bad luck last week.

I think its funny, that the headlight is still working meanwhile its on the floor.
