So my father in law is pretty hard on his cars. I usually give it a quick coat of wax every other year. They are currently out of town and I decided to give him a full interior job since I didn't have much to do today.

As you can see from the photo's it was pretty bad.

What I used for the interior
Chemical Guys All Clean
Dollar Store Soft Brissell brush
Little Green Machine Extractor
HD Protect

Exterior
Stoner Tarminator (So much road tar all over)
Clay Bar
Meguiars Wheel Cleaner
Wolfgang Deep Gloss 3.0

Engine:
All Clean
HD Protect

It took me about three hours to do the interior (mats, clean seats and vinyl) and it took me about three hours to get all of the tar off the body and wheels, clay and put a quick coat of Wolfgang Deep Gloss paint sealant. I think it turned out great and hope he thinks so when he gets back from Mexico tomorrow afternoon!

Sorry about the pics being upside down!! :)

You got a great heart god bless very nice turn around.

Great job, I'm sure he'll think so too!!! It's fun to take a bad interior like that and bring the life back to it. You made it look almost new again.

Great turn around!

Tip for the pics. Use IrfanView, the free and useful image viewer/editor.

Thank you guys! I love getting a nasty car and bringing it back! Detailing has become a stress reliever for me and I'm always asking for new cars to work on!

Currently, I don't do much correction, I might do a pass or two with the PC but find that most are happy after a decontamination of the paint (bug and tar and then clay bar) and a good sealant (Wolfgang Deep Gloss)

That is my favorite category of work...a trashed vehicle owned by a family member! You see the biggest difference when done and i like the pleasure derived from family.

Nice turnaround on that wn1998. BTW, is your online handle...wn1998...related to a Southwest Airline flight number? Just curious cus that's what it reminds me of. The 2 letter code for Southwest is WN and when followed by a number looks just like a specific flight number reference. If not, nevermind...too many years spent on a career in aviation!

puckman, my handle is my high school and the year I graduated.
