OK i just bought this Mytee lite 2 and i am already having problems with it. I have used it 3 times in the past 2 weeks. First time i used it was my car and everything went ok. I had my first detail on a Honda Minivan and my spray pump when out 2 times during the detail. The pump just stop working. I thought it was done for, after 20 to 30 minutes it started to work again. it worked for a good 30 minutes when the pump when out again and i had to wait another 20+ minutes for it to work again. Today i was doing my trucks interior detain when the pump when out again. This time i didn't even lasted one tank. again waited 30 minutes and it worked again. Its just the spray pump that's going out, Vaccum and heat are working fine.

I think that the pump is overheating and shouting down, i just dong understand why is it doing that, is it normal? i notice that the pump is working 90% of the time, and hardly stops. even when i stop pulling the trigger for a good 1-3 minutes it still continues to pump. the weather has been in the around 93 this weekend so maybe that plays a role.

i also notice that at times the pump does not have an even flow it pulses sometimes.

using an extension cord? or is it plugged directly into the outlet?

I have a Mytee HP100 and the pump stops almost as soon as you release the trigger. If yours is running continuously, it could be overheating and triggering an internal automatic breaker (that is strictly a guess). Maybe it has a leak inside. My usual method when something goes wrong is to take it apart and look for something out of the ordinary. Of course since yours is new, you might want to call the manufacturer.

It could be that something is causing the pump to stay on. I know on my HP60, there was some calcium build up and it was causing the pump to run even when I wasn't pressing the handle. The first thing I would try would be some CLR or Vinager. Run that through the system and see if it makes a difference. If not, step up to some wheel acid and run that through. Follow that with some degreaser to nuteralize the acid. Make sure you don't just keep cycling the water into the clean tank in a loop. Any of the junk that you break lose will end up going back into the fresh water tank and plugging again.

Another thing that a lot of people forget to do is, after your done with your machine for the, bleed any and all water out of the pump. Run it till its dry and keep spraying for like 30 secs. After that, turn off the pump and press the handle to remove any residual water in the line. After you do that, you can store the machine. I know around here there is really bad hard water and if it stays in the lines, it will clog them.

I called costumer service and they said that i might have dirt or something stuck in the pump line. I did what u guys recommended and used CLR and that helped a lot. Pump would stay on for only 9 sec after i release the trigger. I think i have some very hard water in my area and getting some bad mineral deposits. At times it still keeps pumping but not all the time. If it continues on giving me problems I am just going to take it to a service center.
