Only favorite of mine that hasn't been mentioned already is

The Gumball Rally - the scenes between the Ferrari and the Cobra. This was portrayed as the more realistic story of Brock Yates' Cannonball races.

Jim
I forgot all about this movie, and I even own it  Franco cracks me up every time.

Smokey and the Bandit....why:

-Sally Field circa 1977!

.....oh I guess you could also include:

-the classic lines from the movie, my favorite:
"There ain't now way.....NO WAY, that you could've come from my loins! The first thing I'm goin' do when I get home is punch your momma right in the mouth!"

-the 4 speed shifting sounds when the car is clearly an auto, LOL!

-the one sceen when they show the car with the early honeycomb wheels that came on the 75-76 T/A's.

-Jackie Gleasons entire performance in the movie!

My favorite is "Fever Heat", a long-forgotten movie filmed on location at an Iowa bullring dirt track in the late 60's. It starred Nick Adams (Johnny Yuma-"The Rebel"), for those old enough to remember 60's TV. Co-star was Jeanine Riley from "Petticoat Junction" another 60's TV show, who left the sitcom early for some ah..."more voluptuous" movie roles.
After seeing it first-run in the late 60's, I found a DVD copy 40 years later.

I CANT BELIEVE i didnt mention this....... buttttttt......

1989 Batmobile is BADA$$!!!!!

Smokey and the Bandit, cause I grew up with 2nd generation trans am.
Hollywood knights and American Grafitti just like the seeing the classic cars used in the movie as if they were used back when those cars where bought new.
dunno if this one been mention but I also like Corvette Summer because has Luke Skywalker ok not really but I I like it because of the 70s style custom corvette the class in the movie built together.

Great movie (I posted on page 2) love the right hand drive. The hood and tail panel are a bit over the top for today, but in the 70's the wilder the better.

Have you seen "King Of The Mountain (1981)" the first race is with a second gen T/A 1979 I believe. Dennis Hopper was a bad ass crazy sob in this movie.

Gone in 60 Seconds, Nick Cage version. I think it's because it was one of the first movies I ever watched on DVD and on a big screen TV at my grandparent's house. Haven't watched it in ages though.

"Two Lane Blacktop" gets an honorable mention from me because when I saw it for the first time I noticed that, towards the end of the movie, they filmed a part of the movie on the Tail of the Dragon, waaaay before everyone knew about it! The dialouge between the guy in the Judge and the hitchhikers was priceless, depending on what car he was driving it was best, classic!
