Favorite Car Song?

Not exactly a "car song" persay, but anyone with a fast car, play "Cowboys fro Hell" (Pantera), "Fuel" (Metallica) and see how that works for you! NOTE....MAKE SURE RADAR DETECTOR IS ON, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

Thanks for the memories, Lake Wylie hand:dblthumb2:
My first wife was raised on Indian Rock Mountain...spent many hours in the holler.

Alabama kept me company on many West Coast turn-arounds...York Co. to Shakey round trip in 7 days.

Roll On is still one of my all time faves.

There are too many car songs to have a favorite.

Does any one here remember a promo record by Paul Revere and the Raiders called "SS 396"? I think side B was "Corvair Baby". I got one from the local Chevy dealer way back when. I'll have to try to find it.

Maybe a little obscure, but Mark Knopfler (of Dire Straits fame)..."Coyote"....

"....don't you just wish you could make half the speed I do....."

What's your favorite car song? So many to choose from.....GTO by Ronnie and the Daytonas, Drive My Car by the Beatles.....I don't know. I think I'm gonna have to go with Dead Man's Curve by Jan & Dean, what say you?

I did not see on the list yet your all forgetting about, Hot Rod Lincoln. Mustang Sally also right up there on the top of the list.

One that always comes to mind when I'm detailing is this

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3v8I5egzoMo]Car Wash Song - YouTube[/video]

Car Wash

You might not ever get rich
But let me tell ya it's better that diggin' a ditch.
There ain't no tellin' who ya might meet. .
A movie star or may be even an Indian Chief.

(Workin' at the) car wash.
Workin' at the car wash yeah !
Come on and sing it with me car wash.
Get with the feelin' y'all car wash yeah.

Come summer the work gets kind a hard
This ain't no place to be if ya planned on being a star.
Let me tell you it's always cool
And the boss don't mind sometimes if ya act a fool.

At the car wash
Talkin' about the car wash yeah!
Come on and sing it for me car wash.
Car wash yeah!

(Work and work) Well those cars never seem to stop comin'.
(Work and work) Keep those rags and machines hummin'
(Work and work) my fingers to the bone
(Work) at five I can't wait 'til it's time to go home

Hey
get your car washed today.
Fill up and you don't have to pay.
Come on and give us a play.
Get a wash right away.
Car wash talkin' about the car wash yeah!
Woo car wash
Those cars never seems to stop comin'
Well
I say
Keep those rags and machines hummin'
:dblthumb2:

Loved Mexican Radio video, especially when his face came up out of the pot of beans. Wall of Voodo also had a great version of Ring of Fire.
I forgot another great song Cake: Going the distance. I love the band Cake. The soundtrack of the movie "The Commitments" is a great driving CD. Has great versions of Mustang Sally, in the Midnight Hour, and many more. A great movie. Inspired me to join a band again.

Cake is pretty cool, the song "Short skirt, long jacket" copies a little bit of the guitar riff from SRV's "Couldn't stand the Weather", anyone else ever notice that?
