Favorite Car Wash

If DG is 1oz/gal does that change the Excel file which currently shows .38oz/gal?

Also, is DG 901 the same as DG 902?

It should change the Excel file. DG 901 is the 16oz bottle, DG 902 is the 64oz. bottle, DG 903 is the 128oz. bottle. :) All 3 are the Car Wash Concentrate.

If DG stays at .38, not only is it the 4th cheapest, but it's also currently at the top of the poll, which makes it an even better deal. Meguiar's also seems like a great deal for the price given that it's also near top of poll. Ultima is another good option. I want to try all of these!!

If it goes to 1oz instead of .38 it's not as good a deal compared to Meguiar's or Ultima, but still beats most others that are high up on the poll.

I have to read through all these post and organsize what is said and make changes if need. I got confused with DG, DP, and WG! Ah!

Dwayne, what did you change the in document? How do I sort it? lol

The Duragloss basically doubled everything and halved the dilution. I had it at 1.5 oz per 4 gallons, but now it's 3oz per 4 gallons.

Say you want to change price per wash from low to high, Highlight that whole column, click on sort/filter, click "sort smallest to largest" a warning will pop up, mark "expand the selection" and hit sort.

Ah okay!

Did you have to do anything special to it or what?

Thanks :props:

Yes I had to take out the extra columns. Under the product names you had them running through columns A,B,C,D and E when they should have only been in column A.

Hmm, i'll try to do that and see if i can figure out what you did.

Thanks!

So 3oz/4 gallons is .75oz/gallon = $.63/wash

So not as good as it was, but still pretty darn inexpensive.

Yes, that is correct. I looked at Walmart and could not find any.

You can also select all of the cells in the table. Then (if you're using Excel 2007 or 2010), go to Data>Sort. This will pop open a window where you can select which column to sort by, as well as what order to use. As long as all of the columns with data are selected, they'll be included in the sorting.

that is a really nice chart-makes the dodo alot cheaper per wash-thanks

No problem!

It really does change the perspective when you add in dilution levels!

I think Meguiar's Super Soap as well as DP Xtreme Foam is made specifically for that purpose!

I would only change one or two things about the charts: When showing the Brand and Wash, list both the least available for sale (for example, my favorite: WG 16 oz. for $20) and the highest available for sale (WG 128 oz. for $70).

Another thing, I would list the minimum dilution as suggested by the manufacturer. If the manufacter list 1-2 oz. in a bucket, I'd assume 2oz. per 4 gallons.

Other than that, these charts prove to be very helpful.:dblthumb2:

I did the first thing up to $50. If they had a gallon that was over 50 I didn't bother..some are like $70 for a gallon of soap! I might add those.

The other thing, I ad problems with this and it really pissed me off as you can see from the post below the latest chart. I went with the highest since that is the maximum you would pay.
