I would like to see what everyone's favorite clay bar is for a fine clay as well as a medium or more aggressive clay bar.

Here is a link to an article from (Auto Express?) that rates a number of clay bars and they found the Bilt-Hamber clay to be the winner. It does not look like Bilt-Hamber products are sold in the US and many of the products tested are from European companies.

What are your favorites?

I just used Buff & Shine's fine grade last night, I really liked it. I will have Bilt-Hamber and Riccardo very soon. I also have 2 bars of Pinnacle poly clay waiting on me.

Interesting, Bilt Hamber Regular can be had through Rubbish Boys UK for a bit under $25US shipped for 200g. Competitive with the domestic offerings.

I've had good results with Mother's Gold which is very soft and Clay Magic blue when I need something just a bit more aggressive. Riccardo yellow is a nice clay if you know anyone in Canada... very similar to Mother's. I found Riccardo blue to be crumbly. Can't say as I've had the need for a seriously aggressive clay. Yet.

The 2 (fine) clay bar's I always have good luck with:
Pinnacle Ultra-Poly
Adams
Both of these are very pliable , skid (smear) free , non-crumbling for me.

Pinnacle Ultra (light) and Megs Burgundy (aggressive) ... all the rest seem pretty similar.

Maybe you can do a comparison review of these clay products, similar to the one done in the clay bar test at Auto-Express. I would be interested to see your impression of the various clays tested on the same vehicle.

The Bilt-Hamber shows it needs only plain water for the lube, I wonder if a clay lube(ONR mix) would reduce its performance?

I liked the S.M. Arnold purple medium clay and Clay Magic Blue as a fine clay. The clay Magic red kind of bleeds it's red color when used and seems to fall apart pretty easy.

I have always used the Mothers and has always gave me good results

I admit I have not tried many different clay bars but have really liked DI Ultra Fine.

I've used the Mags clay kit that they sell at Walmart for years and been pretty satisfied. I tried Mothers once and it didn't have that bite that Mags clay seemed to have. I'm currently sold on DP poly clay it has more "bite" removal properties than Mags kit.

Sorry DP Universal Clay not "poly clay" :xyxthumbs:

I like Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay and Meguiar's blue clay. Meguiar's Smooth Surface clay isn't a bad clay either. Didn't really care for Clay Magic - too sticky and IME leaves residue if you miss getting clay lubricant in a spot.

I'm a big fan of my sonus green clay, but i hear they stopped making it.
