favorite gun fight scene

I'm surprised no one has mentioned John Wayne as Rooster Cogburn in "True Grit"! His gunfight against "Lucky" Ned Pepper, the Original Mexican Bob and two others was a true classic.

"Fill your hand you Son of a #####!"

Great...simply great.

Yep, that was one of the two I was going to mention. Love John Wayne movies. "I intend to shoot you in one minute Ned or hang at Judge Parker's convenience, which will it be?" This is my number one classic western fight scene.

Second, would be the gunfight in the saloon at the end of Unforgiven w/Clint Eastwood. "You just shot an unarmed man! Well, he should arm himself if he's going to decorate his saloon w/my friend.... I've killed most everything that walked or crawled at one time or another and I'm here to kill you Little Bill."

Quotes probably aren't perfect, I'm going from memory.

I like the last scene in True Grit. if Heat hadnt of already been mentioned that would have been my first choice.

Anything from 3:10 to Yuma....

Not really gun fights, but the cannons in Master and Commander are UNREAL!!!

Lesson to be learned: Don't bring a knife to a gun fight!

Can I post the entire movie Taken? Okay okay I'll narrow it down to this and I hope everyone has seen the movie. I wish there was more to this clip, but its the only one I could find.

My vote is for the bank shootout from the film "Heat" with Robert DeNiro and Val Kilmer, and for the tension buildup the graveyard gunfight at the end of Clint Eastwood's "The Good, the Bad,& The Ugly. The music score in this movie is the best of any western in my opinion.

While perhaps not technically a "gunfight" I was particularly partial to Pvt. Jackson's sharpshooting exploits in "Saving Private Ryan", especially taking out his opposite number in the bell tower. The last scene staring down the wrong end of a Tiger didn't turn out so well.
