Was thinking about pulling the trigger on the Optimum tire gel. Never used it before, was wondering what everybody's thoughts were. I have been using PB's BoldnBright and really loved the Surf City Beyond Black.

I used to use OTC wheel gel. I thought it was great stuff, but it slung like crazy. I bought Optimum tire gel a few months ago and will never use anything else now. It's a great gel, easy to apply, doesn't sling, and looks great!

I've also heard good things about the Armor-All OTC gel, but never have tried it.

i love optimums origanal tire dressing . in fact this is all ive been useing ..nosling at all just a nice new look to the tire. not slimy wet..

I've been using the DP gel for years, but it doesn't last very long especially if there is rain. I just ordered some Optimum today and I'm hoping it holds up better.

I really like the zaino tire shine. It gives a nice matt finish that doesn't sling and lasts a along time.

I've also heard great things about Swissvax Pneu. I might be giving that a shot when I run out of my Optimum.

I haven't used Optimum yet, but have you heard about the Meguiar's tire dressing coming out early this year? It's supposed to last months!

I'll believe it when I see that lol.

Yeah, I guess that last post sounds kinda silly. Truth is, I heard this from a friend that got the info from his uncle that works at a tire shop and was changing the tire of an employee that works next to the Meguiar's facility who overhead two guys in the Meguiar's parking lot talking about a tire dressing that would last for months. :xyxthumbs:

Wolfgang's Black Diamond Tire Gel is the Bomb and although its expensive its currently on BOGO, I just picked up 4 more bottles. That will probably last me for years as a little goes a long way, now is a great time to try it and I think you will agree its Great Stuff.

josh, it will take you a year to use up that 32oz. bottle of Optimum. Yes, AA Tire Gel is a great product.:dblthumb2:

I enthusiastically recommend Mother's Reflections Tire Care. It is easy to apply (just spray on a tire applicator and wipe on), leaves a satin finish, and does not sling. Durability seems to be as good as, and certainly no worse than, other tire dressings I have used. And at $8 for a 24 oz bottle, the price is excellent!

08 300C, what kind of applicator do you use? A foam applicator or the applicator WG sends with it? I think I am using way to much product.

I use the applicator that came with it yellow/black, I cover it with Plastic wrap and then a rubberband to store it in a large Ziplock. I bought 6 extra on BOGO but still using the original for a year and a half, I usually apply it every 5 washes or so, it really lasts and best of all it doesn't fling all over the Paint like all of the OTC Brands I've tried. I apply a really thin line to one long and one short edge of je applicator for each tire, a very small amount does go a long way.

I go thru tire dressings a lot.
The best ones are usually a little more expensive. I buy one of those for my especial details, other than that, I use the 3M Tire Restorer.
Good coverage, dries concours looking, and has decent durability

Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel is a good one. Goes on easy. Leave for about 15-30 minutes buff off. No sling. Nice semi-gloss appearance. Kinda pricey but worth it. Also use Armor All Extreme Gel. Nice in a pinch, the bottle lasts forever, but appearance doesn't appear to last as long.
