I definitely agree with you regarding him wearing attire that doesn't match the name of his current company. I also agree about the tape on the bottom skirting, as that could have been removed for final shots. Providing more corrected paint in the video would have also been welcomed.
All he said was that he was making a short detailing video. He stopped short of saying it was professional, although I assume that's what he was going for.
The only thing I believe has no bearing on anything is his hat and shoes. If I am going to have someone detail my vehicle, the first thing I am looking at is his body of work, not his attire. Maybe if he was wearing a belt buckle, it might worry me but his shoes and hat??? I was not distracted at all by his attire. Matter of fact my eyes were only focused on what he was doing to the vehicle.
Have you ever been to a tattoo parlor? If not, then 9 out of 10 times if anyone judged a artist by what they looked like, rather than look at their body of work, no one would ever get a tattoo. I'm sure they all go to work dressed in what makes them comfortable, not what the customer thinks he should be wearing. I been to 6 different artists and they all were tatted up and dressed in some of the craziest outfits but none of that mattered because the first thing I looked at was their work. Even though they looked like they just got out of prison, they were all the coolest people I had the opportunity to do business with.
refreshauto, wear what makes you comfy, throw on a LeatherNeck detailing shirt and you're good to go.
