that was a nice video. only problem is i dont do the videos myself. i dont have the equipment or software for all the editing involved. i have a photographer come in and shoot it and edit it all for a price. so i have to keep that in mind when doing these. next though i will change things up a bit since i will have more space in my new shop

Great video! And beautiful job on that mustang my friend:)

Thank you. The videos will get better. I will incorporate most of the feedback from here. There has been a lot of good advice so far.

Great job on the mustang and video I would like to try my luck on making a video for my self. Love the gloss on the stang.

Thank you. The coating added to what i had already done with the polishing. You could literally see the difference in color between the coated side and the non-coated. It added a ton of gloss to the paint along with years of protection

Wow. Just wow! What is your definition of "poor" please, just because I'm intriqued at this point. I know of Doctors, Attorneys and other Professionals who have tattoos. Your out of touch 1950's mindset is exactly the reason I brought up the tattoo parlor. It's because people judge based soley on appearance rather than body of work and character. The man is working on a car in his garage, not signing bills into law. Would a suit be more appropriate for your snooty ass?

Get a life a$.

When you see people covered in tattoos, it really doesn't summon the idea of riches and education now, does it? Who do you think hires detaillers? It's mostly people from the upper class, not middle or lower one. If you want those people to hire you, appearance is really important.

Now from your response, I am not feeling someone with a lot of social skills. If I am an a hole for disagreeing with you, you probably have very few friends. If you think I am so out of touch and just a snooty idiot, ask other detailers if they think their appearance is important to their clients. You might be surprised at the answers.

Awesome video. It also helps that the car they are restoring is one of the most beautiful model ever produced ;)

If you like high quality detailing videos, check out Paul Dalton's Miracle Detail, some of the best videos I have seen have been produced by him.

The fact that you believe people who get tattoos are only poor or uneducated shows how out of touch you are with reality. You cannot even try to judge me based on your stereotypical claims. I can almost guarentee that a few of your so called rich clients have tattoos. I'd love for you to put your money where your mouth is and post your beliefs in your advertisements and see how many of those clients you lose. Keep in mind tattoos are concealable. It's a certainty that if they dont have tattoos then someone they are friends with likely does. Maybe it's their brother, sister, son or daughter. Go ahead lets see how your comments work for you and we'll see in the end just how smart you think you are.

Allot of talk in these forums, regarding price of a full detail is centered around the market you live in. Do you honestly believe that all detailers are dealing with rich and high class clients? Again you are living in fantasy land. I'm done with you. Good day, Sir.

Keep in mind tattoos are concealable.

That, in a way, is my point. A lawyer may have tattoos, but in a business environment they are concealed. So for a professional business video, it would be better that a business face is put on.

I definitely get what you are saying. I do and I agreed with allot of your points. I just felt his work definitely outshined his attire. I'd be pleased to have him work on my vehicle, hat and all.

Also, he did say it was just a short detailing video. No mention of it being professional although as I mentioned previously, I assumed it was for that purpose.

Sorry for the negativity I spouted off but I wasn't going to listen to Mr Moneybags stereotypical claims about people with tattoos. I have tattoos!!! That I am proud of, which have personal meaning to me. Let it be known I am also a college grad, far from poor. However, I don't drive a Ferrari so I guess I'm not high class enough. If high class living means stereotyping people then I am proud to say I am not part of that clique.

I too would be very happy with the quality of his work. Like I said, if he polishes cars naked, that's his business. Just don't show that as how you do it.

And he asks for feedback, which is what I tried to supply, hopefully in a respectful manner.

When he [or his photographer] puts the effort into the videos as he does with his detailing, they'll undoubtedly be great. :xyxthumbs:

There is a lot to be said about how someone communicates. Money has never been able to replace or buy character and class.

People have feelings and People Do Matter.

Well said.

Nice job on the Mustang. I have a few nitpicks about the video, however:

At the beginning, the word experimenting is spelled incorrectly. There should be an apostrophe in the word car's to indicate a possessive state. The ellipsis should be three periods (...), not two.

Your shirt has what I presume is your old business name; it does not match the name given in the title of the video. Also, your hat and shoes are a little distracting. I understand the want and need to be comfortable, but for the sake of the video production I would expect more professional looking attire.

When you are pulling the Mustang out of the garage, there is still tape along the bottom. In my opinion it would be better to take it out of the garage in a completely finished looking state, including the tires, even if dressed tires weren't part of the job.

Too much time is spent at the beginning showing the uncorrected paint. Then at the end of the video, only one side and the nose is shown, both at a very low angle. More time and variety should have been devoted to beauty shots; that's what people want to see.
:iagree:
