Fellow detailers...what is your favorite part and least favorite part of the detail?

My favorite part is seeing/hearing a customers response after I have detailed their vehicle.

The worst part is trying to find that balance of a great job and a fair price between my friends and myself that I detail for.

I guess I don't really like windows, taping moldings (time consuming sometimes) but what I like doing is removing polish to show the beauty underneath and ofcoarse, finishing off the car:dblthumb2:

I LOVE ALL OF IT!!!! Detailing is so rewarding!! Every single thing is fun, washing, diagnoses, polishing, waxing, shampooing, windows, wheels, engines, trunks, etc....... I am so thankful for having work!!

God loves it when we work with a glad heart. Jesus said “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5: 14).

It is not just what we are doing, but that we glorify God with our work that matters.

BRING IT - I LOVE IT !!!
WRIGHT ON JOE be glad to have the work and when I get the call is good. worst is being slow know work hate it

Favorite...final wipe (and behold the fruits of labor)

Least Favorite...cleanup (usually dead tired at that point)

Least favorite=claying

Most favorite=applying lsp then wiping it off. It's relaxing to me.

If you don't like claying buy a speedy prep towel or Autoscrub towel. I went from doing maybe 1-2 clay jobs a month to doing almost every car I detail.

Most favorite - LSP.

Least favorite - Exterior trim (tied w/ interior front windshield).

favorite is standing back and looking at the hard work

least packing all my crap back up

Favorite: Paint polishing, engine details, washing, and dressing tires!
Least Favorite: Waxing! It's sooo boring! Oh and polishing wheels and cleaning windows for sure. Also claying, that process is way too time consuming.

Favorite: all the compliments on a job well done.

Least Favorite: having to live with the fact that I can't magically remove RIDS(OCD), taping the car up(OCD), and the insides of windows(i'm a big man and the bottoms are hard to reach, thank you Stoner's).

Favorite - applying and removing the LSP
Least Favorite - cleaning the interior of the windshield and the interior of the backlight glass Glass Master has made this a lot better but nevertheless...

Most: Satisfaction of work well done

Least: Cleaning up the buckets, mitts, and brushes at the ned

Getting a car that is kept clean , but needs alot of work is my favorite. Getting a car that looks like someone had a buffet in it is my least favorite

Worst: For whatever reason, I really can't stand cleaning wheels. Don't mind doing glass, even internal glass and the windshield, but can't stand doing wheels.

Best: Applying that last coat of wax and caressing the contours of the car, then wiping it off to reveal an awesome finish, sitting back and admiring your hard work.

FAV: Clay process using ONR@QD.

Critical inspection at this point...
* also product/pad selection of various panels contemplated before test spot.
* Checking for repaint/repaired panels.
Gives an early indication of what the finished product's luster may look like.

LEAST FAV: Picking up and packing...unpacking and putting away once home.

Most favorite: Dialing in the paint correction process - which is the best polish/ pad combo to give you the best results - its like a fun puzzle - The end state after all your hard work and seeing the client's positive reaction.

Least favorite: Interiors...especially ones that haven't been cleaned in 3 years lol...I did pick up a tornador black and it looks like it will make interiors a lot more fun...

Interior windows, and cleaning foam pads for me..

Best part is standing back and admiring a great job, with the thought in the back of your head,"I think I can still get a better shine than that!".
