I used one in a restaurant the other day. It was awesome. You can find them at kitchen supply stores cheap. Would love to see AG start selling them.

No caps to lose, nice and simple.

Anyone currently using them?

fifo?

first in first out?

sorry I'm also an operations guy...

Yes! it is first in first out. Do a google image search. I'm replacing all my bottles with them.

huh? i was just joking!

off to search...

oooh me likey!

I don't understand how it works... Yes it's FIFO because it has 2 caps but when you shake up the product, doesn't it matter?

I think it'll be good when you are getting low on product.

It will always be ready to squeeze out since it's being stored with the dispenser at the bottom...

I was very impressed. No lids, no leaks, nice big opening to dump the product in. That little ketchup bottle is going to be a game changer for my waxes, polishes, compounds, tire wet...you get the idea.

First product you dump in is the first to come out. Not a terribly important feature but that's how the name came about.

Looks promising ..

Any good for #845??

Now that I've taken a look at them I see how they would work well for many detailing products....:props:

Might have to give those a try. They look like they will be mind blowing.

I think the detailing products will melt the little orifice flap valve thingy and Audilover will have tire shine all over the entire shelf in his detailing supply cabinet.:bolt:

nice find, it is timely, i am searching for this
thanks

You might be right Dave. The one-way valve's are made out of silicone rubber and like dissolves like. I wouldn't say it's a certainty, there are many, many different kind of silicone compounds, but something to be wary of. Some of these silicone additives at the right concentrations might degrade those valves. There are other caps available. A more traditional push-pull cap (at least that's what it looks like in the pics) and a pointy tip that forces you to rest the bottle on the the filler cap. Of course Audilover can just rest his bottles on the filler caps and the surprise will come when an excess of tire shine floods onto the applicator. Or maybe I'm blowing smoke and nothing will happen... :D :bolt:

If they are to be used in production detailing, or high volume detailing, they won’t last long. I use these on at work and they've always been hit and miss. They are super cheap, and the dispensing tip cannot take a whole lot of stress (in fact, by standards, we are not to fill them up over 75% of the way, I assume so the tips do not give out, which they do all the time because people overfill them anyways).

Also, I would not recommend them for any product that requires shaking, unless you place you finger over the rubber dispensing tip while doing so.

I can see them as practical for a DIYer that doesn't go through product so fast. But If I were in production and was going through caps every few weeks/months just from normal usage, I'd feel it's a waist.

Just my $0.02 on something I've been using almost every single day hundreds of times over 6-11-hours days for over the past year in a fast food joint.Im the MAN

Not bashing the FIFO bottles, just stating obsevations

Thanks for sharing! This is a fantastic idea.

I appreciate the feedback on the silicone tips. I will do a repost of their durability once the weather warms up and business gets going. They might be good for some products but not others. Thanks again for the input. Also good advice for putting the finger over them while shaking. If they do work well they are going to make using the products in them a hell of a lot more convenient.

Dave, you really think silicone products will eat away at the spout?

This is a short video of a guy using one. Start in at 1 min to see him use it:
