Filter for pressure washer?

Does any of you use filter between garden hose and pressure washer?

recently I had issue with my foam cannon and I think it might be clogged up.
and my pressure washer started to acting up, water pressure isn't consistent.

Happens all the time with my pw it's a pita.when filling tank I can wipe the hose before fill up,and some micro dirt gets clogged up in the screen.I have to undo the hose from the tank that feeds water into pw and clean out the screen.Its such a time waster to fix during a job.
