Hobbyist here, gold seatbelts in an Accord are really filthy. Tried a 50/50 mix of simple green/H2O brush behind a 2x4 piece of wood, not great results.
don’t have an extractor, any tips, hints, etc would be awesome from the great forum!

cleaning dirty seat belts is one of the hardest job to do due to the tightness of the weave. Once dirt gets trapped in the weave... there is not a easy solution. Steam will help in conjunction with a fabric safe APC. Too much agitation from a hard brush might make the fabric pilling effect on the seat belt.

To ensure that I safely clean vehicles’ safety
devices/restraints, I use the following product:

Do a search for a seat belt brush, which is double sided to brush both sides at the same time. Haven’t used one myself.

Thanks brother.

Cleaning seat belts is 1 of the easiest things ever... The only hard part is when you run into a car where the seat belts don’t retract far enough for them to hang outside the door, and therefore prevents you from being able to rinse them with the hose nozzle.

-How to clean seatbelts.

1st you go find the dirtiest seatbeats on earth.

Next you fully retract them, and get some clamps to hold them in place... The reason you’ll need the clamps is because as soon as the seatbelts find out you’ve got some LA’s totally awesome and you’re getting ready to spray them with it they’ll literally begin to run in fear and attempt to retract back into the car. Lol.

Spray the heck out of them with LATA. Grab whatever brush you’ve got laying around and give em a quick scrub.

Rinse with the hose nozzle, wipe off with a cotton terry towel. Check your results and repeat if necessary. Allow to dry.

Iirc it only took 2 quick rounds of scrubbing and less than 10 min. for me to make these seatbelts look like brand new.

You’re welcome.

That is the dirtiest and most gross seat belt I've ever seen in my life.

I showed the before/after pictures to my wife and she came home the next day with LATA. Thanks!
