Finally got Black MF's!

If I haven't told you yet, your posts often crack me up!

I'm not sure if I want a black towel as I will never know if the towel is clean or not. Same problem with navy MF towels. I use stained towels for wheels and engine "stuff" anyway so I really don't know why I would buy a "black towel."

i agree here.

and to get them because you don't like stains would be silly IMO because the stain would still be there, you just can't see it.

so 1. you can't see if anything is on the towel, 2. including a stain haha

i dunno, weird choice, but i'm glad others like 'em.

Just the opposite for crap that shouldnt be on the MF. black contrasts well with anything that isnt black. Grass, red clay, etc. will show up well.. Its a personal choice but the MF fabric is really too nice to go straight to wheels & wells IMO.

Would you rate the quality high within the Cobra offering? Some of the pictures suggest that they are very nice MF towels. I guess you would see polish and wax residues against the black fabric???

Where would you put these towels in the Cobra line?

Better than the All Purpose. More plush than the Indigo. Very soft with a tighter nap o both sides than most. I compare it to the green detail cloths which were better than the All Purpose too IMO. Try em Kurt, once youve tried em youll be hooked I think. bot

Thanks for the detail. Sounds like a couple of towels that I like.

Kurt

Tiger how about posting up a picture with them beside some of the popular cobra towels?

I used the AG black MF' towels today on my rims (Chrome Cladded 2006 Chrysler 300) and I can tell you they are fairly nice.
They are a couple of step's above retailer stores MF,but definetly not as soft as a Cobra Delux Jr600.Real nice wheel towel for the prce thou.
I did notice that the black towels have that scratchy feeling that most Chinese towels have.Soft but scratchy if that makes sence?
All in All,if your looking for a good: rim, door jam, wheel well towel-you can't go wrong for the price.

Help me out, why would I want these black towels versus my older but still good MFs?

Thanks!
:iagree:Kurt, why would I want to wipe my wheels with the dirty part of the towel (can't see the brake dust on a black towel). Just doesn't make sense to me.

Thinking about paint, you would want to know if the towel is dirty to prevent introducing swirls, but how does that apply to wheels? As I wipe with the black towel, I see brake dust being removed from the wheel. I don't understand how it matters if I can see the dust on the towel.

Because if you can't see the brake dust or dirt on the towel how would you know if your using a clean section of the towel?
