Finally got to put the opti-coat 2.0 on.

I just finished off my 2011 black Honda Fit. Wash>claybar>polish>paint clean>opti-coat 2.0. Quite a job I must say. But the results are absolutely stellar. I don't know what to be impressed with more, the Menzerna polish results, or the Opti-Coat 2.0. I used a black lc pad with 4 medium passes, and 2 light passes. I literally see no scratches, or swirls on the paint. I don't think I have ever seen this sort of thing on a black car in person. Only in pictures, and wild tales told by the camp fire. lol. I few times when I was close to being finished I swore my car was turning invisible at times.
One question I have is, can you put more Opti-Coat 2.0 on top of existing Opti-Coat or would this be totally unnecessary?

I'll put up some pics later today hopefully.

Menzerna products really a great product as far a slaying OC it doesn't bond to itself .
 
From what I understand, there is a new, improved formula of Opti-Coat ...which does bond to itself. You can layer it, making it unnecessary to remove it in order to reapply it. I think this improvement alone makes for much greater acceptance.

From what I understand the Opti-Guard will be able to layer, I think OC is staying pretty much unchanged.

I agree, but if you need to fix a spot or notice that there's less beading in an area it sure makes touch ups easier.
 
Thanks for the kind advice fellas. It's appreciated! That is nice that you can layer if you happen to notice less beading as stated. Too cool.

Nice job, the car looks great. I also put opti-coat on a 2011 Ford F150 King Ranch this weekend. Was more than pleased with the end result and ease of use. This truck was my guinea pig test subject before I put it on my Sierra 1500 with only 600 miles on it. I have used opti-seal many times over the last few years and think that experience was a big help on the opti-coat application.
