Finally ordered the steamer!

You will like it. I didn't take any chances and just went with the distilled water that is recommended vs hot tap water. Be careful when walking around and not step on the hose to often. I can't begin to describe how much I've done with mine. Have fun.

Congrats on the purchase. I use a different one, I use a Gaia. I recommend buying a bunch of white, cotton terry towels from Cosco. Wrap up the head of the steamer with one as you go over a surface. On carpeting, it will make you puke when you see what gets transferred to the terrys. Not to blow my own horn, but here are a few jobs with bad interiors that I was able to save with the Gaia:

As you use it more and more, you will love the results you get with it!!

i have had my vx5000 for 4 years and use it every day with no problems just use distilled water and clean out with clr once a month and good to go

Ok as Richy pointed out the Gaia & VX 5000 are 2 different machines. Either way I got the Gaia which is the steamer and the extractor in one. Luckily I looked it up and made sure before I purchased it. So I should be good to go. I'll write up a review for everyone once I give it a shot.

Is this one of those crazy "dry steamers" that doesn't require the use of water?

:joking: of course. Seriously, congrats on the purchase. I have been going back and forth between getting one for months now. I hope you really enjoy your new toy when it gets there!!!

Spicy, it spits out steam that is drier than a popcorn fart!!!

How much time transpires before you have to reheat the water

I think I read about 15 to 20 minutes......... runs for 2 hours I believe.

I wish I had it yesturday - had a 38 ft 5th wheel..... then an emergency tour bus - last minute call with full exterior full interior - needed that steamer for the interior floor bad! But worked through it and got the job done without it.... can't wait for it to get in for sure.

Anthony - how long was the shipping to you? I ordered my Gaia yesterday and it is suppose to be at my house tomorrow!

They said by weds (today).... but I never get my hopes up with shipping anymore. I'll be happy if it comes in on friday.

Does anyone have any experience with Daimer steam cleaners? I have been researching steam cleaners for a few months now and have had my eye on the KleenJet Pro Plus 300CS. They are currently having a 30% off sale and I am seriously considering purchasing one.

Well with mine (VX5000) it stays heated until you run out. I've had it run continuous for hours. The boiler stays on throughout the process. The unit will signal when it's out of water, then you do a shut off to refill and re-heat and go some more. Funny as I read the booklet everytime I use it so I don't press the wrong switch.

The bus in the front is the exact bus I did (not for the pic though, looks better now lol!)........

I used a DRYWASH method (which many on here think is garbage, but the man is super impressed and has tossed me a bus already for next week) ......

Exterior took myself and one of my guys roughly 2 hours.....

Interior took us about 3 hours (granted my mop was soiled from sealing a rubber roof on an RV a couple of hours prior to this bus.... so we did the floor by hand after sweeping). Plus we were exhausted from a long day lol - bus next week will be done first thing in the morning for sure! We took our time on this - to ensure a future client.

I made $300 on this bus.
