Finally picked one

Nice....congrats
How did you like sitting in the "box" with the finance manager?
I declined everything because I paid cash, but they did offer a lot of services
When I bought my trailblazer in September, the finance manager was a "Alternative" life stye person...need I say more....LOL
They even admitted it...problem I had, they took a bath in this perfume, where I had to walk out of the dealership I was dying from the smell...

You gotta love the finance guys, they always think they're the smartest person in the room. The last 3 times I've bought vehicles I had loan sorted out in advance, through my own bank. I still had one try to convince me he could do a better deal, but he didn't understand the difference between monthly and weekly payments, $98 a week is not less than $400 a month. I even had to write it down for him, I don't know if he actually knew he was trying to rip me off for $25 a month. But when I bought the FJ, they were good, they wanted me to drive it home that day so it would go in that months sales figures, the finance guy beat my banks repayments by all of $2 a month, the loan was over the same period, so I just went with them, but paid it off in half the time.

I love my dealer and salesman because they know where I'm coming from, there are no games.
I did tell them my next vehicle, I'm bypassing the "box" or I'm going to another dealer.
They said.......no problem....lol.
I realize they have a job to do, but for most people it is a terrible experience.

The dealer I bought the FJ from I had bought 2 previous cars from, that was why they let me take the FJ for an overnight test drive, that and I left my current car with them. It was a GM Holden dealer but shortly after switched to Nissan, which was when we got my Mum's Qashqai there, also got an overnight test drive for that as well. I believe they're now a Honda dealer.

Yea. I always pass on the extras. BUT got everything at a discount. I wanted the undercoating this rime. $1000 off the extended warranty. Accessory's I wanted hurt a little, but a 4.2% I just tried everything into financing. Tonneau cover was only $350.

Added...
Assist steps
Bug deflector
Vent visors
Bed divider
Floor liners

You always second guess a big decision like this. But figured it was rime.

The link didn’t work but please let us know how you like it. Is it a Turbomax? Colorados (z71) are on my short list of trucks to look at when it’s time for a new vehicle. 430 lb-ft of torque is appealing.

How many miles do you guys keep a car for?
Usually until they dont pass inspection/safe to drive anymore lol.

Never had anything new. My pickup ive had for 15 years- ive put 44,000miles on it.

My current daily- 54,000ish in 3 years of ownership

My average over 36 years owning cars is between 40-50k KMs in 3-4 years, but with the FJ I'm at 95k KMs and 8 years. I still love driving it every chance I get.

The past 5 vehicles I have averaged around 110,000 until selling and moving to a new one.
My truck will be 4 years old on Dec 10th and has 46,500...so around 12,000 a year is my average.

Kept my truck 6 years. 76,600 miles. IDK. Figured it was time. And no warranty on it. Once you hit over 100.000, they really take a hit.

Like I stated I added about everything to the new one. Figured at least it will be under warranty the life of the loan.

I keep mine for as long as necessary. Mileage is insignificant. My Tacoma is a 2013 that I bought new. Right now it is a couple K miles short of 100K. Have no plans of getting rid of it. Maybe another 11years and another 100K miles. It’s the most reliable truck I’ve ever owned and I’ve had plenty of them including all of the big three.
