Finally picked one

I keep mine for as long as necessary. Mileageis insignificant. My Tocoma is a 2013 that I bought new. Right now it is a couple K miles short of 100K. Have no plans of getting rid of it. Maybe another 11years and another 100K miles. It’s the most reliable truck I’ve ever owned and I’ve had plenty of them including all of the big three.
It may not be true of current Toyotas, but from that time, my FJ is a 2011, they do seem to be very well engineered. And apart from enjoying driving it, mine has also been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned.

Guess it is time. Going this morning for pick up. Everything on it except the bed divider. Will be arriving later. One last look at the numbers and take it to its new home. Kind of rough with 10-hour shifts at work and I see they are calling for a snowstorm tonight. Hate to drive a vehicle I am not familiar with yet in those conditions but guess I will see how it does.

You will be fine in the weather......post up some pics!

this was mine 2 days after I bought it.......LOL

WOW! Just got it home yesterday. There is really no comparison to the previous model. EVERYTHING has been improved. Love the interior. Ride is amazing. Power is great. The tech in this vehicle is amazing compared to my 18. Going to be a learning curve with all the tech. So far I have zero regrets on upgrading. Pics and more to come.

To the dealer tomorrow for the accessories to complete it. Assist steps. Bed divider. And in the meantime, ordered a full set of the WT no drill mud flaps. Just going to have them install them since the truck will be there.

Also put on the new WT door sill protectors. (Nice product) And added a screen protector for the display.

Does your new ride have the "buckle to shift" feature? I was just reading this article about a new Silverado, but it also says it's already in Colorado, Malibu, and Traverse. I would seriously hate that feature, I do always drive with my seatbelt buckled on the road, but if I'm just moving it on the driveway to wash it, or to swap them over. It also says they're looking to make seatbelt chimes louder, which I'm fine with, or maybe they can just tun the sound in the stereo down till you buckle your seatbelt, like Ford does for their driver attention tracker.

Just saw a story on the news here which I believe by 2026 all new vehicles sold in the USA will have to have front seat belt notification and by 2027 the rear seats must also have that feature.
