:iagree: Great product but comes with a lousy sprayer. I personally transfer all my spray products into a custom bottle with a megs sprayer. IMO they have one of the best and finest sprayers for QDer's and spray waxes.

IMO most QD's come with bad sprayers. FK425 is one of my two favorites. The other is OID. By far the best sprayer is the pump that comes with XMT. AG sells the pump with a great 12 oz. bottle.I have a dozen and use them with QD's and Spray waxes. The pumps dont overspray and distribute a nice fine mist IME. I only use triggers on APC, UV and glass cleaners anymore.

What kind of bottle? My Megs sprayers will not fit anything...

LOL only because FK425 has been around forever and is one of the top QD besides OID. Killr I know you like Mother's Showtime. Ed, I'm surprised you are only trying FK425 now. If you like a reflective shine then all of the above are great choices. If you like that nuba glow, try Griot's Speed Shine.

OID is concentrated. A gallon makes four. It gives the most bang for the buck IMO! BTW the 32 oz makes a gallon, The smaller size isnt concentrated.

The bottles are from USPlastics but they dont fit the megs sprayers as you have found out. What I did was remove that neck piece that attaches the megs sprayer to the bottle and epoxied it on the USPlastic bottle.

If you like a bright reflective finish with some anti-static ablilties..get FK425. If you like a warm glow of a nuba get Speed Shine.

I think I would prefer the warm glow of nuba (you sold me on it in your previous post), so I decided to add SS to my cart instead of 425. Although I am tempted to buy both, especially with the 15% off deal going on right now.
Do you think SS compliments Souveran paste wax?

:iagree: XMT sprays a nice fine mist, very small amount is sprayed with each pump. It never crossed my mind to buy the empty bottles, I will get some with my next order. Right now my FK 425 is in a Home Depot sprayer which uses up half the bottle if you look at it. Thanks!
Oh yeah... FK 425 is great. buy it by the gallon. You'll love it!

any streaking issues using 425 in direct sunlight or the griots ss previously mentioned? i actually prefer the warm glow but 425 is drawing me in, now i am sitting here just beating my head on the wall as which one to get.

I'm on a mission for the perfect QD, so this thread has me interested. I've been using Meguiar's UQD and 135 but have had a lot of streaking the day after use and need to repeat. The "hydrophobic" aspect lured me in.
I bought some Adam's QD and probably like it better. Maybe it just smells better, I don't know for sure.
Just ordered the FK 425 sample from AG and a Meguiar's Last Touch sample 32 oz. from ADS. I'm going to give both of these a try before I get a gallon of anything. Last Touch seems to have quite a following, and the price is great. Anyone have any comparisons between FK425 and Last Touch?

no real streaking with 425 nor its sister 146 (more sealant looking). Another fine Detail Spray is Optimums but find it best to use on a damp surface.

Sorry to revive this thread... but a simple question. Which is better? Optimum's Instant Gloss Detailer or FK 425??? I am on the fence as to which to get.
It sounds just fine. Not to take away from WG Auto Bathe because I love that soap, but I recently discovered an ultra slick maintenance combo: Duragloss 901 followed by FK 425.
