FK425 is no secret, it's been one of the slickest QD for years.

glad you found something you seem to enjoy. i have never tried FK425 but i do know another slick one i go to is DG AW

AW is a sealant and will last much longer than FK, but FK is very slick. Try it out you will like it. On your next order with AG get a free sample.

Hey, it's a great product, it does mute flakes if used to often. If you use QD's you will love FK.

??fk425 will mute flakes?? or did i read this wrong?

You dont know what your missing till you try 425 ... and Ive never noticed it mute anything. They also offer 146 which is more of a sealant look qd'er spray. Its a bit crisper looking and not quite as slick.

I may just break down in buy the FK425 since it is anti-static, great for repelling dust from what i have read, correct me if I'm wrong?

I have not noticed any improvement in static over Griots Speed Shine (their version of QD). I have not used any other QD for many years. I bought the FK425 because of its advertised anti static property. I was not overly impressed. Still very static. FWIW, I was using it over WG DGPS 3.0 covered with Pinnacle SSII.

Better cleaning ability than FK425. :)

Neither clean very well, but in general it "seems" most quick detailers have really become detail sprays and add some gloss and perhaps in rare instances some UV protection.

For a true quick clean wipe I use Mothers Showtime or mix up some ONR.

146 suggests more of the anti-static abilities over 425, not sure it will help but might be worth a try. I liked it and found it looked more like a traditional sealant versus 'nuba wax. 425 is the opposite in looks.

I going off FK's charts on their website. You're right that both aren't meant for cleaning, but one does clean better than the other, FWIW. :xyxthumbs:

I learned along time ago after many a product testing, that my charts differ from alot the manufacturers offer :props:

Thanks Killr. I will try some next time I order.

Unfortunately NOTHING keeps a clean car from getting dirty, it seems to be related to Murphy's Law or something. But I have heard cleaner cars are faster (smiling).....

I agree, I've been using FK425 as a drying aid with Guzzlers and LOVE IT. I just got a sample bottle to "supplement" my gallon, the sample bottle has a nice fine mist. Unlike the Home Depot sprayer which I felt was wasteful, spraying too much.

From the start, with FK 425, I completely disregarded it as a cleaner, only using it with the intention of lube for drying and as a wax booster. Like Killr, I'll reach for the ONR for a "true quick clean wipe" But the other day I figured I'll test it's cleaning ability, it says it removes finger prints and smudges, conveniently I have a glossy black Refrigerator in serious need of a wipe down.

Before- (I know... I live like an animal :D)

During- After a light mist and a single swipe. The area I wiped came out looking amazing but it left one major streak, likely not a streak from the product, rather from the massive amount of greasy finger smudges. I was impressed!

After- Overall I was very surprised by the cleaning ability of FK 425, my already high opinion of this product just jumped through the roof! If you (anyone) don't at least get a sample, I'll hack your system and order it for you (J/K). :D
