I decided to work on my shine. Here's the details:

2008 Solstice (my daily driver)
  • Wash
  • Clay
  • Me and my new PC
    • Meguiars 83 w/ CCS Orange (had a couple scratches to work out)
    • Pinnacle XMT #2
    • Pinnacle XMT #1
    • Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish
  • 2 coats Zaino Z-5 show polish
  • 1 coat Zaino Z-2 show polish
  • Wait a day, then a coat of Pinnacle Souveran
  • Wait 4 days, then wash, dry and another coat of Souveran
  • Next day, Zaino Z-18 Optical enhancer
Way more hours than I had any idea it would take! LOL

Here's some reflections I took on Sunday at the cruise-in. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks for looking,
Paul

Looks great. Did Z18 help the looks of Souveran, if so, how? Was it more reflective, deeper, wetter? IMO, on a well preped car with dark paint, nothing improves the look of Souveran except Souveran itself (2 coats).

The Z-18 seemed to give it just a bit more "pop"... I love the souveran look... deep and wet... decided to spritz on some z-18 and it still has the "deep dark wet" souveran look, but with just a hint more reflection. Still experimenting and learning, and spending $$ buying detailing toys! LOL

Looks absolutely amazing. My Stone gray metallic doesn't quite shine that well.
