First Bike Ever Detailed

:dblthumb2:

You did an awesome job with those products. :dblthumb2:Ignore those that ridicule that which they naught understand!Im the MAN

I've used WINDEX on chrome to great effect. I bet your foaming cleaner and "personal mix" are much safer on those metals than most "metal cleaners," which in many cases are fairly acidic and corrosive (even to the metal they are intended to clean.

What brand "dry wash" do you use, if you don’t mind me asking? (I know AG doesn't carry it, you can PM me unless it’s a trade secret) I've wanted to experiment with it as an alternative on moderately cleaner cars to save water as much as possible. (I know I will still need to wet wash the dingier cars.)

Cool - thanx man. Ive done it this way for a LONG time. I had 3 full details, 1 full interior, and 1 full exterior only today and 2 of the rides had chrome rims - used same method and the clients were very happy :dblthumb2: Use this method almost daily. Ill toss that PM your way. Thanx for the comment.

I gave the ecosmart another try tonight and it worked well. Exactly as you said it would. The temps and the truck not being completely filthy it did a great job.

Also I feel your pain with the bike. I just had a customer drop off a 99 Harley police special to have a paint correction done and EVERYTHING polished. This guy has a ton of chrome on this thing. And spoke wheels which are going to need polishing and sealing. I do not have a lift either, so I'm going to be doing a lot of moving the bike around. I won't ride it since I don't have my license and the closest thing I've ridden to a Harley would be a dirty bike when I was about 13.

Thankfully he's leaving it with me for a week so I'll have plenty of time.

Glad it worked for you man :dblthumb2: I inspected some rides I did today (done on weekly basis) and they still have no marring..... I keep this up very regularly, maybe done 8 times plus in the past 3 months and still no issues. I can guarantee that if these rides were put threw a car wash that they would have all types of swirls in them by now. Im curious how they will look in 8 months?!?!

I saw the pics of the bike on your facebook page - and a goodluck to you lol! I will be doing a Goldwing in a couple of weeks packaged in with a F350 Dually...... polishing the owners 5th wheel tomorrow - this guy is a brand new client and is already looking like he is going to be a great one! Sorry - rambling on lol. Goodluck on the bike man - I know it has to be tiring with the business you have been pulling and the full time gig. Tough it out man, it is worth it :dblthumb2:

Yeah I definitely liked the way it reacted this time. I did end up with the areas on my truck that were still hazy this morning (due to me rushing last night and there not being much light). But good call on the product. Will definitely come in handy for maintenance washes etc.

Yeah the bike I started to tackle last night. I just gave it a wash and blow dry. It's sitting in my garage right now waiting for me to get home. It's going to take A LOT of time. And I'm going to end up having to polish a lot of it by hand....

And I'm definitely starting to feel the working 2 jobs 7 days a week...But I know it's worth it. This is something I love doing. My full job pays the bills for now. The detailing gig will go full time soon enough (hopefully!).
