So this is my sister in law's car, it was a swirled out mess. I've been wanting to polish it out for a while now, to try to test and hone my skills. I only buy white cars so this was deff something different for me. Any who, my wal mart had some megs micro fiber cutting disks on sale so I got a pack of them and some ultimate compound to try with it. I figured I really can't make the car look any worse, and even if I did she wouldn't notice. So I washed, clayed and went to town on it. The mf pad/UC combo did leave some slight haze on the paint and I got that taken care of with some blackfire polish on a white ccs pad. It came out pretty nice. It's no where near 100%...the bumpers are trashed and there are some larger chips here and there, but it deff looks a lot better. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. Next I'm gonna tackle my mother in laws dark blue ford edge, which is in similar shape.

I'd say you did a fine job on the car. The before and after pictures are dramatically noticeable. Great work and thanks for posting and sharing.

Is your sister in law a wolverine? Geez look at the door handle scratches!! Lol...great job man!

Kind Regards.

Haha yeah man I try to tell her to be careful getting in the car, but it's like talking to a brick wall. She has to attack the door upon entry. She never washes the car either, so it should stay swirl free for a while.

That's one heck of a first black car to tackle, nice job on that swirled/scratched up mess.

Very nice turn around.

I wonder if she is opening the door with the keys in the same hand

Does she put her purse on the trunk deck while searching for keys?

HAHAHHA this is funny. I had to go back and look at the handle pic. Wolverine is right!

Great turn around! Nice job!:dblthumb2:

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I feel all the time spent on hear reading, doing research and watching videos has helped out a bunch. I do alot more reading than posting, but if feels good to see the studying pay off.

No telling. She's a 21 year old college student so car care is not high on her list of priorities. I think it's just a combination of the nails, rings and just not really caring. My wife was the same way but I pretty much got her trained now...on the out side anyway. Her and the kids can make a mess of the inside pretty quickly.

You sure made this car look nice again, that was some nasty looking swirls and the scratches near the door handles were awful.
Great work man!

Great job! Night and day difference...

Looks awesome man! I've had great success with the rest of Meguiars DA system as well you should try it out!
