Hi all, You probably remember me from a post a few weeks back where I ordered a bunch of Duragloss products. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/detailing-forum/6081-just-put-my-order-hope-i-have-enough.html

Well finally got some time to do an exterior detail using Duragloss. I used to be a Zaino nut till I found this site and the recommendations of many for Duragloss.

Wash Cycle:
Citrus Degreaser on the lower panels using Zep Citrus Degreaser
2 bucket method using Microfiber Mitts with DG#901 soap * Love this over Gold Class
Still had to break out some Tar and Bug stuff from OTC on some spots.
Clayed the whole truck with Magic Clay kit. Boy it amazes me how much clay still picks out of paint when to the eye it looks clean.
2 bucket method using Microfiber Mitts with DG#901 soap

Correction/Polish:
Well truck wasn't very badly swirled so I held back on using DG#652 and went to the cleaning of DG#101 using the Edge Orange 2000 pad on PC. Here are some pics before the DG#101 - Sorry pics were from my Cell Camera Phone

Here is a picture of after the DG#101 using Orange Pad

Next I went on to the DG#105 with Blue Edge Pad on PC

Now for my LSP I used Collinites #845 on a Edge white pad with PC. Here are some pics -

Yes that is water on the damn hood after wiping off #845. It started to rain. Here is a shot after the passing rain.

One thing I want to add is that I spritz the microfibers used to wipe up DG#101 and DG#105 with DG#921. And after I wiped up Collinites #845 I spritz the microfiber with DG#951.

All I can say is that I am very amazed at the Duragloss line up. I still have more details to finish such as polishing out the windows using DG#755, plastic light housing using DG#681, and finally add DG#271 to the black bumpers and wheel trim. The wheels/tires were cleaned a 3 weeks ago and added DG#253 and it still beads and looks good.

I can't thank enough of you on here and of course MickeyC fellow S2000 enthusiast that pointed me to Autogeek.

Thanks All! Can't wait to detail some more of my cars.

Hi paivag. Nice man. The red look stunning. Yup the Duragloss line does get the job done pretty well. And Collinite 845, it's just another great choice. Great work.... Tq for sharing. Happy detailing. :)

Duragloss! How good is it??? I'm pulling it out more and more for a "Go To" product when bang for the buck matters.

Looks very good! Wait and see what big AL has to say about it. He the king of a red Duragloss truck.

Looks great! Duragloss is nice on red paint!!

Wow looks very nice, and for a cell phone so do the pictures.

Very Nice....DG is the best bang for the buck....Gives a nice Wet shine and lasts..and Your truck shows the wetness....and being Red is very cool....

The 101 and 105 combo is kick a s s ..a monthly spray od Aquawax and your set..

I found that to 101 and 105 look outstanding on Blacks..Reds..Yellows...dark blues and Greens and metalics...also the other colors but the ones mentioned really show its stuff...to me its the poor mans zaino...

Again...Outstanding Job..and nice choice in the color of the truck....

P.S. Next time you will only need to use a white pad with 101....you may see a bit better results...the micro abrasives will burnish a nice high gloss..no need for the orange....try it...

Super results....

Also if you stick with the DG system....you will retain that look very easy...they all work together....

Al

That is one fine looking color...man I can't beleave those are pictures from the cell phone they look good. I've been reading lots about DG and it seems like good products, may have to try there sealent (heard great things about it). The color looks really nice and it seems that for a good detail a nice rain comes along and makes you admire the water beeding.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys for all the comments. Next will be a green metallic 1998 honda accord that will need some serious TLC. The truck was easy because there were no major swirls. I keep the paint in good shape by frequent washes and a lot of spray QD.

Has anybody have any suggestions on using their PreCleaner DG#652? It definitely has swirl issues as well as etching from water spots. I was going to use 652 to try and clean those up. I hope its up to the task.

Nice looking truck, that red paint is outstanding.

:applause: Extraordinary job, the paint just looks like it came out of a gloss factory. I got to say is I've learned a lot from Big AL, he is the Duragloss king. As Al said "The 101 and 105 combo is kick butt ..a monthly spray of Aquawax #951 and your set."
Try the #471 for bug remover, I think you find it works well.
Thanks for sharing your work.

Nica and Gary, come on boys, you need to get some Duragloss. It's a lot of bang for the buck. Enough said!!!!!:p

Looking superb, LOVE red cars with the DuraGloss.....

DG is not only bang for the buck, its a lot of bling for the buck also;).
