First Detail on my new vehicle

Hello! Purchased a 2015 Nissan Frontier in Arctic White. Finally got done with my first correction detail on it to remove some RIDS, minor swirls, and marring.

Started with a foam bath using Mequire's Gold. Followed by an IronX treatment to paint and wheels. Cleaned the wheels and wheel wells and did another wash. Removed surface contaminants with the fine grade nano skin.

And then on to the paint correction. I was able to get away with using blue LC pads on my PC and WG FG to correct ALL of the RIDS and swirls. Least aggressive process first as I learned here! I topped everything off with a WG DGPS applied again with the blue LC pads.

Engine, wheel wells, exterior trim, and rubber moldings treated with WG Exterior Trim Sealant. Headlights and tail lights sealed with WG Plastic Sealant. All exterior windows cleaned and treated with WG Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant.

Finally, the entire interior, (leather seats and dash) were coated with WG Cockpit Sealant.

Thank you all! I have some better pics, but I am unable to upload them. The WG products really worked well. I was amazed how well the FG removed the RIDS and light swirls. I worked in a dark garage with halogen lamps and used the light at various angles to make sure I removed every last imperfection for now. About the only flaws I could not remove were a couple of VERY small paint blisters (smaller than a pinhead) that came from the factory paint job. These were at the bottom of the rocker panels. But it is tough to find a perfect paint job on any new vehicle this day and age...

Use this to post pictures: Easy Thumbnails | Fookes Software (in Settings adjust Max. Width to 640, Max. Height to 480 or alternatively 800 & 600...AGO automatically resize bigger pics to 640 & 480 size, then Brightness/Contrast/Sharpness: 0, JPEG quality: 75 is recommended & 80-85 I use 89).
When you post a new thread in the forum, already wrote a title & text, then open another same new window (ex. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/) & go to Upload Photos on the top, then open any photos you resized with EasyThumbnails Copy&Paste into here directly.
If you use Firefox browser another nice Add-on is Lazarus, it saves any text you might lose posting & with 1 click of the mouse on the right, it will recover it :wow:

Thank you all again! Now to see how long I can maintain it. May look into doing a coating now....
