Alright guys,
Yesterday my packages from AG came with all my detailing stuff but unfortunately I had to work so I couldn't get started on my car. Well, today I got it done. Woke up at about 8 and finished about 130. The car was pretty bad and alot of places I had to go over twice with xmt 3. But, I am hooked. I cannot believe how good my car looks. Can't wait to get my souveran and put a coat of that on top of it all.. :)

PC was used for all the polishing.

Here was my process:

Wash with DP Auto Bath
Mothers Clay
Wash again
XMT #3 with orange ccs pad
XMT #1 with white ccs pad
XMT Carnauba finishing glaze with grey ccs pad
Poorboys EX Sealant w/ Carnauba

Great job there!! Your Mustang looks awesome. Biggest change, was on the roof. Very nice!

Yea the roof was horrible. But the whole car had a ton of swirls as well with some oxidation in areas.. I didn't know if they would all come out with #3 but sure enough they did. Looks like I found my new favorite hobby...

Hobby? HOBBY? HOBBY? Nah! You're hooked now! You mean, "addiction!". :D

Hahaha, I think you may be right. I've already started spending more money then I have ever planned. Gotta find a few side jobs for some extra money and to try out some new products.

With all the info and stuff on here I went into it feeling like i pretty much knew everything about it(Altough I know theres still a bunch to learn). Its amazing how much you can learn from just lurking around these forums for a month or so.

Thanks guys... Gonna do the wheel wells next wash hopefully they are killin me! Do you think it would be fine to wash the car next week and then apply the souveran? Or do I need to put something down before it. The sealant should be good for a while correct?

Welcome to the forum and the addiction! What a fantastic job you did. It is especially amazing that it is your first time. Very well done.

You can apply the souveran after your next wash with no worries. The sealant should last a good while especially topped with the Souveran.

Nice job on that stang. Be sure to use the 2 bucket method when washing, don't want to see those swrillys back again.

Yeaaa.. I've definitly learned my method. I have it all now. Grit guard, 2 buckets, guzzlers.. Don't want to say it but I used to use some pretty bad stuff on my car without knowing.. Hopefully with what I know about washing now and what I have to use, they will stay away.
