Well tomorrow i will be doing my first full detail using all of my NEW products! I will be doing this on my 07' Fiji Blue Pearl Honda Civic Si...my car is in pretty good condition, minus the swirls i've created through washing and the water marks on the tops of the car...This detail is good for two reasons...1. well obviously if all goes right, my car will look amazing and 2. well i get to learn the feel of the PC and the products for the details to come!

Process -

Wash:
Two Bucket Method, using DG #901, cobra micro-chenille wash mitt (since my Shmitts wont arrive at the house until after this process is done)...using my old wash mitt on my wheels and a wheel brush for the wheel wells, with Megs Wheel Bright.

Clay Bar Treatment:
Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay and DP 4 to 1

Drying:
Guzzler

Paint Corrections:
Starting out with XMT #2 and Orange LC CCS pad, then XMT #1 and Green LC CCS pad, then moving on to Pink Moose and Gray LC CCS pad, then i will use DG #105 and another Gray LC CCS pad or maybe the Blue LC CCS pad, and at this point i will come to the finish (haha) using Pinnacle SSII Wax! * im not sure if i am going to apply and take off the SSII entierly by PC or entierly by hand... (i was going to use clearkote yellow cream wax and then clearkote carnauba moose wax, but they wont be arriving tomorrow so that will wait for the next opportunity)...

Windows:
Stoners Window cleaner w/ cobra micro fiber window towel

Interior:
Vaccum, wipe down with a product that actually takes the white marks out of my civics black plastic doors and then protecting with Opt. Protectant Plus and cobra MF towel...

...and after all of this haha i should be finished!

...while using the PC, i might take my blue painters tape and tape off 2x2 sections, so i can get the idea of how much and how far a product can be used...

...after writing all of this, im tired haha...if anyone has any input or suggestions, that would be great...otherwise i will let everyone know how it went, how i think the products are, and of course i will take many pictures...

(the single biggest thing i am looking for is whether or not the exterior paint on my car will truely look better...b4 tomorrow i will have used the products that we use at work, but i dont think they are on the same level...so we will see!)

thanks!

...im getting started now...so pics will come later on today!

so right now i've been working on the paint correction step for about 3 1/3 hrs now and i still have the drivers side to do...u guys wern't kidding when you said it would take a while...at this rate i should finish o maybe sometime friday morning haha!

its coming out good but i am not sure if i should do XMT1 or just go straight to pink moose...started with XMT2...what do you think i should do?

also, when using pink moose can i simply apply it by hand or is it better to do by PC?

also, im getting alot of dusting from XMT 2...after i complete using the XTM products can i blast off the car and then come back with pink moose and then the wax?

thanks!

This thread is way dissapointing plus pointless without pics.

:applause: :righton: Yah! We wanna see and admire your hot Civic. I love Civics. My first car....(sniffle)
Come on!
Oh and if Surfer is not nice to you just tell me and I will beat him up for you. I will make him wear my bikini.
(Hee hee hee):D :D :D

Talk about a teaser...hahaha ;) man you got me and others just waiting for the pics/process buddy...looking forward to the vehicle.

now that i am finished...i have to say that i have no idea how some of you guys run detailing business' with the PC...its a fantastic machine but its such a slow process...now maybe that is just b/c i am use to a rotary...

i do have to say that for such a light weight small machine, the PC is fantastic and yields fantastic results (well atleast from what i could see from my moms headlights shinning bright...i didn't get everything out but i know that i cant expect to being that its my first time using the PC but i would have to say that i got out about 85% of the scratches and/or swirls!

i was very hesitant on whether or not my car would truely look better then it did b4...but this was largely due to the fact that i felt like i was using fairly good products prior to my AG fix haha! after finishing and again under my moms headlights, the color looked amazing...the color ran across the car from a dark purple, to dark blue, to a bright blue, and then back up the spectrum...in another spot the car looked greenish blue...up close i could see tons and tons of flakes...WOW!

well i dont have any after pictures b/c it was too dark when i finally finished but i do have some befores and durings...

the first set is of the car after being washed and the second set is of the car after being taped up...tomorrow morning i will QD the car and take a ton of pics...i hope it looks good!

this next set is of the excellent tape job i did haha...

Okay I wanted to see it in a large screen :D hope you don't mind.

No worries buddy, the car looks great. Very nice reflection too...oh and I like the taping job...nice.

the forth shot from the bottom looks very nice...did I mention I like blue...well I like blue :D

Good job buddy. Since you are used to using the rotary the PC feels much different...I don't know if I could go back to the PC....I'm married to my Metabo...and I honestly don't want to go through the diverso...to much paper work and not to mention to expensive ;)

Thanks Nica, but remember all of these shots are b4 shots...tomorrow are the shots that count!

yeah the PC is very different from the rotary, but i like it, i will use it to probably maintain my car and/or my families cars, but it would take to long to do a customers cars so in the near future i will also invest in a rotary and some Menzerna products!

but the PC and all the products i used today were fantastic! i thought i had good microfiber towels but cobra MF towels blue them away...far away!

i cant wait until the rest of the goodies arrive hopefully tomorrow!

again sorry for the delay but the final shots will come tomorrow!

Can't wait!

As for MF's, yes, Cobra is GREAT quality and they're worth the money spent. I've had my Ultimate Guzzler since January. I also have the Jr's and Plush Deluxe. Cobra MFs are so thick and feel nice.

Looks spectacular. Can't believe that's your first one.

Awesome job.
