Yes. All other pads should still will work well, but obviously the BOSS pads are designed for the machine and the wiehgt of them is optimal for balance, just the like the Rupes system. :props:

I tried LC pads that i used on my Porter cable. I found they would work but, they were thick and so, not so stable. I ended up spending a ton of cash and bought a bunch of the Groits pads. They are pretty pricey!

I just tried the new thin Meguiar's pads and they are a lot smoother on the G21 than the standard Lake Country foam pads. Thin pads seem to be the way to go on this machine.
 
It arrived! It arrived!! Unfortunately so have the in-laws so in the bix staring at me calling my name it sits. :(
 
I tried B&S pads with my G15--very smooth compared to my GG8mm so I think I'll wait until August to take a look at the new B&S low profile pads for long throw polishers.

Did you like them better than the GG 5.5 inch pads?
