First introduction post!

No one's posted here yet so I will, even though I've been on the forums. My name is Joseph and I am an Autogeek with OCD :D I need to go to some Detailers' Anonymous meeting or something...
 
If the medication includes new test products im in ;)

Anyhow, I am new here so I guess this is my introduction. My name is Stewart and I bought a Diamond Gray Metallic 2007 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT spec.B in March. I have always had a passion for clean cars, but my only detailing experience was some short training at Lexus of Portland and hand waxing my old 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS. I bought my PC7424 two weeks after my car and have been trying out numerous products since to keep my car looking tops and to bring back a shine to my wifes black 2004 Hyundai Accent GL Sedan. I definately have some OCD in me but joined AG too get the inside scoop on new products and techniques.

Welcome Stewart! That is a beautiful car. I love Legacy's. I also love the Legacy STi, but sadly it won't be sold in the U.S. as far as I can tell. You are set in the right foot!

I'm sure new product testing will be part of our medication :p.
 
There actually isn't a true legacy sti. There is a "Tuned by STi" version of the jdm legacy 2.0gt spec.b. Other than a different engine (280hp 2.0l turbo vs 250hp 2.5l turbo) there are very few differences in the jdm vs usdm spec.b's. The tuned by sti version is just the sti catalog of parts bolted onto a jdm spec.b without any special tuning or power output. So far I have put sti springs and cusco sway bars on the car, next I am ordering sti brake lines, sti street pads and a sti short throw shifter so it is going to be basically the same thing as a jdm legacy 2.0gt spec.b tuned by sti edition.

Oh man thanks for the info :D. Well, I would still love the tuned by STi Legacy over here. Let's see more pics of your lovely vehicle! :)

Tonya: thanks, probably the only other Hyundai owner here, soon to be replaced by a 08 Legacy or Impreza :)

THanks for the pictures! I like the one where you parked on Legacy Lane and the cabin pictures as well :p. My favorite one is the one with your Legacy and the Evo. The scenary looks awesome :awesome:
 
I'm glad I have found this forum. As I am completely new to auto detailing, I will appreciate any and all advice the forum can offer. I live 20 miles east Of Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada. I have been a bit of a car buff for many years and want to learn about auto detailing. I have 3 vehicles that I hope to detail in a proficient manner.
Thanks for any ideas you can offer.
