First large order, any input?

Yeah, red for waxing but one of those should be enough. Dedicate that pad for that wax as it’s basically impossible to clean a pad used to apply a quality LSP.

One pad is enough to wax a whole car? I am guessing they don't get clogged as easily or something? I assumed 2-3 dedicated for waxing.

Alright, I think I am good. Ending with 7 Orange Compounding, 6 Polish(White and Black, LC and GG respectively) and 2 wax(because combos).

The only time I would use a black pad is to jewel or if the paint is super soft. I dont remember the last time I use a wax pad. LOL

A good cleaning foaming soap generally is higher on the PH scale (alkaline) but Reset is actually neutral. I only use Reset for coated vehicles. I got a bottle of Blackfire foam soap as a gift with purchase a little while back and it is a good alternate. I like the lubricity of it but Reset seems to rinse off easier.

There are so many good quality soap out there for non coated vehicles. You really want to figure out what your goal is. Do you want a soap that leave a little protection behind? Gloss enhancement ? Do you want it to strip ? or just clean safely and nothing else?

A PH neutral soap generally will not strip wax or sealant. Alkaline based soap has greater cleaning power but it could degrade your protection (excludes true coatings). There are those who would add an alkaline APC to the soap to increase cleaning ability. Acidic cleaner dont normally foam so we will skip that altogether. I like Ultima Paint Guard Wash for a non coated vehicle with the goal of adding a bit more gloss. Purple Power Heavy-Duty Vehicle and Boat Pressure Wash Concentrate for a strip wash to prep for correction. I like Iron X Snow Soap for its duality cleaning power without degrading polymer-based paint sealants. Optimum Car Wash is great just as a wash and nothing else.

I'd go back to the 12 pack of pads. You will be thankful later.

(Much easier to spend another guys money, but it is still my opinion). Lol

Right, one pad to wax the whole car. Since it’s not being used with an abrasive or removing clear coat, it doesn’t get clogged. It’s really just spreading the wax like you’d do by hand. No pressure at all on the polisher, speed as slow as possible to keep pad rotation. Short throw machines are more recommended to spread wax than long throw but either will work (and since you’re going for the G9, you’re good).

With all the pads I think I'll 18. I really should get up to 24? I'm not opposed, just seems like a bit overkill. The price difference per pad isn't huge and I will be ordering more when I get my coating if needed. I kinda wanted to do 6 pack now, see what I like, get another 6 or 12 when I get my coating.

Good idea.

You'll definitely be getting more pads in the future. Lol

Done and done. Everything is ordered. Got the G9 direct from GG because AG didn't have stock. $500 poorer but I think I am good to go.

25% off is so massive, saved me over $100. Payed for 2/3 of the G9. So glad I found AG lol.
