Picked up this Fit used in March. Was a leased vehicle so you can imagine the lack of care shown. The amount of swirls on this 3 year old car was mind boggling. Couldn't wait to get to work.

This is what it looked like before

THe swirls ..

The bumper was in bad shape

iron deposits

I started off with a hose down and a two bucket wash with dish soap to remove anything left. After that I clayed the whole car and compounded the car with Menzerna fg1000 on a orange pad with my Porter Cable. It didn't get the deeper stuff but the improvement was amazing. For the bumper area and under the handles I decided to wet sand with 2000 grit before compound. It worked amazing. after all the compounding I polished the whole car with fg4000 on a white pad. Gave the whole car an IPA wipe down and applied CQuartzUK to the whole car, black trim included. This stuff is amazing. Car looks better than brand new now.

On to pics

wetsanding the rear bumper

compound, much improvement. Obviously I couldn't get the gouges out :(

black plastic after

random afters (didn't take enough befores...)

scratch almost gone

Some final shots and what the car looks like as of today.

Couple weeks later I applied the Carpro Reload as per instructions. As someone that has only ever waxed before, oh man this stuff in combination with the CQuartz UK is magic. paint is like glass.

ready for trips now :D

If you got this far THANKS FOR LOOKING :dblthumb2:

Car looked like a clean example until I saw the hubcaps removed and steelies dipped that crazy color, as well as the "jdm" badgesa be eyelids on an economy car.

However, the clarity and depth restored to the paint is second to none.

Felt like I could walk into your garage through your bumper and borrow your ladder!

Thanks and to each their own.
