First polish for the Z!

That is complete BS... it was thrown out to stir the pot. You thinking some chevy cavalier/cobalt is superior to the Z33 because you pulled on one on the highway. You knew exactly what you were saying and how it would be taken the moment you hit the reply button.

No I was actually unaware that there were people as immature as you on this board. And it was from a dig, several times :) sorry

My god people enough already... cobalt, at this point the immature comment can go both ways.

well.... good for you. Glad the Z could be the yard stick you are using to measure how much go your cav has.

You could have pulled 30 lengths on that Z and it still doesn't change the fact you are driving a teen chick car. And to make matters worse, you make comments like it is a real sports car. Like I said before, stick to waxing and let the guys with real cars discuss the go aspect of them

I'd like to drive over a little cobalt, this is geting funny!

I haven't had any problems with it yet. But I'm sure if I drove through a construction site I too would have brown donuts for tires! I just wanted something that wouldn't sling all over my car.

Good. It's not a bad product at all, and I like that one application lasts through several washes. :xyxthumbs:

Hey there buddy,

A member from MY350Z here as well. Quick question, did you also use Wolfgang swirl remover 3.0 and finishing glaze 3.0 on the headlights as well. I have the same Wolfgang kit. Thanks.

Hey there! I actually saw pics of your Z on my350Z just the other day! Great looking Z and I love the wheels you have on there. I had some Meguiars Plastx Clear Plastic Cleaner and Polish I bought last year and tried using it just by hand and it didn't do a whole lot so I tried it out on a 4inch orange pad and it came out great!

:dblthumb2:

Is it ok to use Wolfgang swirl remover 3.0 with PC 7424 on 4" pads on the headlights or I need to get the polishes made specifically for plastic?

Thanks

You could probably use the TSW on the headlights cause I actually used it on the B-pillars which are also plastic.

I'll give that a try. I also used TSW 3.0 on the B-pillars as well like you advised before, but I also used finishing glaze 3.0 on the pillars also.

I'll probably going to use tsw to remove the scratches and swirls on the headlights and then use WG quick spritz to wipe it off.

Looking good, something else I'll have to add to my arsenal!

Btw I think the cobalts look cute. I wouldn't mind messing around under the hood of one to see how much #'s I can pump out of it. Too bad its FWD, my Supra has spoiled me too much.

Good looking Z!

I also have the griot's and have been using 5.5" I think I might try the 6.5" pads. Maybe I'll trade with someone
Stick with the 5.5" pads on the RO.
They seem to be way better for control, correction, and ease of use.
I got both 5.5" and 6.5", but always go for the 5.5"..... :xyxthumbs:

Keep in mind I'm still new to polishing... do the 5.5 really get better correction?? (I'm just asking for future when I need to get new pads!)

I would prefer a 5.5 for my GG polisher. If I want something larger I would step up to my rotary.

Funny how this thread is still alive. I'll be working on the black Z car this weekend. Has the usual swirls and tracers.

Yeah, I really do believe they're the perfect size for the RO's.
I got a meg's G220V2 (same as the G110V2 but for overseas market with 220v power) It is very good in the power stakes to start with.

I got the 6.5" CCS pads with my first autogeek order and love them! That was untill I got a 5.5" CCS orange pad to work with. So much more control, so much more correction. The pads are thinner, so more pressure can be transferred to the paint surface, instrad of squashing them. The smaller diameter really does keep them spinning. It is easier to break down the polish you use, which is a good thing. The 6.5" pads just seem so big and cumbersome to use now.

Not only are the 5.5" pads cheaper, but I really do believe they are the best.

I would like to get a set of 4" pads to try, would be great for in tight spots like around door handles and the likes. But that might have to wait till Christmas!

LOL! I revived it, I was searching Wolf Gang Total Swirl Remover 3.0.....

Still deciding which to get out of PO203S, SIP, or this stuff?
I got a chem guys diamond cut 1500 medium compound on the way to try first.

Anyways, love the Zed!!! Awesome correction work!

Very nice detail, except I just realized that I need to go back and detail my B-pillars. I missed them last weekend when I was detailing.
