Hi everyone! I've been reading all over this forum for the past couple of days for general information about detailing because I wanted to get into it and love to keep my car clean. I have put together an order and was wondering if I am missing anything important that I might have forgotten. I own a black Acura tsx.

PC 7424XP
Lake Country 5 Inch Backing Plate
Lake Country 5.5 Inch CCS. Orange, Orange, White, White, Gray, Blue
Pinnacle XMT Pad Care Combo
Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Spray Wax
Poorboy's SSR2.5 32oz
Poorboy's SSR1 32oz
Poorboy's EX Sealant with Carnauba 32oz
Cobra Supreme 530 3 Pack

I don't have a garage so I would most likely be doing most of my detailing outside. Is this a good kit to start off with and are there other products I should look into that would be the best bang for my buck? Sorry if I posted this in the wrong sub-forum. Thanks.

more microfiber towels and maybe a couple more pads (softer ones like grey/blue).

You have clay already?

Since this was your first post...

Welcome to AutogeekOnline! :welcome:

Your selection looks fairly complete, as mentioned you'll need more microfiber polishing cloths. I wrote an article a few years ago on MOL and just re-wrote it to update it for AG, here you go...

How many microfiber polishing cloths do I need to detail my car?

Here's a few tips for anyone that has to work in direct sunlight,

First, if possible borrow shade from any nearby buildings or structures, even trees or off the side of a motor home.

Do your paint correction work early in the morning while temperatures are still cool, set your alarm for "early".

Shrink the size of your work area down to a smaller size than you might normally tackle and wipe off residue quickly after turning your polisher off.

:)

I already have the clay bar at home. For mf towels, how are the shamrocks? I was reading how they were leaving lint for some people. Would it affect the polish or would the lint just come right off.

For buffing off polishes I like the towels with the shorter strands anyway so with that I don't face any lint issues. I would use a shamrock more for quick detail duty or buffing down a spray wax. They do tend to be a little more 'linty' sometimes even after a couple washes. The Cobra 530's are awesome and are great for just about anything on paint. You can build up your towel collection over time and decide which you like best. It's nice to have 2-3 drying towels, 6-10 super nice, 6-10 polishing, 10-20 all purpose....and then take good care of them.

i'll try to build up my mf collection over time because i am on a budget. Oh and how many estimated cars does a 32oz of polish do?
