So, growing up I used to help my step dad wash and wax the family's cars and motorcycles. Old school hard paste waxes by hand - every weekend. And until about two years ago I thought I knew all I needed to know about maintaining cars - then I found Larry Kosilla on YouTube. And a couple a month's ago - after buying Meg's 365 and googling how best to use it - I found you guys!

So today I did my first "full" detail with modern techniques and modern chemicals.

After washing and claying I used:
CG Blacklight on a DA as an AIO
Menzerna Power Lock as LSP
Meg's 365 on all trim

So now the daily is ready for the harsh winter here in Sweden. Bought the car new on the first of June and it has 30000 km on the dial. This winter I'll be doing about 5-60000 km so let's see what the menzerna can do!

Nicely done ! Powerlock is good stuff!
Thank you! It was actually pretty hard to apply by hand - contrary to what I've read - will be using the DA for power lock also come spring.

NO way! I apply it by hand, always have...I use a polishing pal and red wax pad and its pretty easy. :/

Before the polishing pal I used a yellow poly foam applicator. I found this hard to apply anything really.

A DA would be easier ofcourse and will spread a nice even layer.

However, I hope you let it sit for a while before wipe off? A sealant needs to haze, and in my weather it takes 15 mins, it might take longer for you. Just making sure thats all :)

P.S. I used powerlock for two years now. Just recently I bought some Collinite 845. Look into this product too, especially for your cold Sweden winters. :)

But it is a little trickier to apply and takes longer to haze and wipe off. But I did love the results, and will test claims of it lasting longer than powerlock (or any other sealant).

Started with a microfiber aplicator, switched to a foam polishing pad which worked better.

Yepp, I did the whole car with blacklight for about 4 passes per section, setting 4-5 on the DA and let that sit for about an hour before buffing of. Then I let the power lock sit for about an hour an a half since it was only about 15 degrees Celsius.

I've been looking at 845 too, might add this to the list in the spring - thanks for the tip! 👍
