I gotta say I was nervous going into this. Especially since I have firsthand seen the oily hologram effect that Reload can have when I was watching a friends car get finished off with it.

I am glad to say I did not have this issue.

My car's hood, and complete drivers side is coated in CQuartz UK and I had noticed that it really isn't slick at all, if anything its sticky! Reload made the parts of my car that had the CQ EXTREMELY SLICK, I'm talking incredibly slick, I'm actually excited to wash the car again to see what the effect that has on beading and blowing the water off when I dry it.

All I did to apply was wash the car, making sure to park the car in my driveway so the drivers side was IN THE SHADE from the beginning. After the wash I went ahead and did the following:

Using 2 microfibers, one short nap, and one very plush (CG Orange) mf, I would SHAKE THE BOTTLE WELL, then spray right onto the panel, a few sprays per panel, and would buff it in using the short nap, initial buff on one side, second pass on a flip side, then do a final wipe with the plush orange towel.

I was so happy to see NOTHING when I turned the car around and put the drivers side in direct sunlight. No oily holograms, no mess, just incredibly slick paint.

So basically, as it seems with all the CarPro stuff, if you follow the directions and precautions, you won't have an issue.

It is worth noting that the areas that didn't have CQ weren't as slick when I sprayed the reload, I am interested to see what the real world (outside 24/7, about to hit NY winter) longevity of the Reload as an LSP will be.

There are a lot of products on the market, but this stuff stands tall.

For giggles today I used Reload full strength on my Kia after a wash.

To be noted, base coats after a full polish on the car are Collinite 476, and 915.

I sprayed it on just like a detailer spray, and noted that yes, you have to do a little more wiping to level and smooth Reload, a little more than say if you were using something like DG Aquawax, or some other simple detailer spray, but still not too difficult to apply.

Yes, it first seemed a little "oily", but with a little flipping of the MF Towel, all seemed fine, and no hazing, streaking, nothing to be noted.

I put in on like a maniac, and again, testing to see if I could foul the application.

Sure, I doubt I'll get the full benefit, or lasting protection and maybe wasted it since it went on top of Collinite, but just wanted to see what would happen and what the results were.

I say it was mid-50's this afternoon, and it worked fine. Glass and all.
