Well my first order is above. I have three cars that need work:

97 Subaru Wagon, red: got re-painted late last year and the guy left the sides really hazy. I haven't waxed it at all with the new paint job (mind you, it was a cheap "just fix it" job, this is a beater essentially). I figure it will benefit from XMT #1 and Glaze, topped off with a wax. If I don't wash this car hardly ever, would I be better off getting a long-lasting sealant or something to protect the paint? I don't want to have to re-wax every 2-3 months like I understand Carnauba requires.

06 Accord coupe, black: This car was a dealer leftover and the paint is in bad shape. Lots of water spots and mega-swirls. This will require a lot of work I fear, but has a brilliant black paint job with this blue metallic shine to it.

06 GTO, spice red metallic: My car, paint is actually in OK condition. Maybe fine swirls, #1 should take it out no problem followed with the glaze & Sig II.

I'm essentially building all of my detailing tools at once. I have some of the basic OTC stuff, but am ready to get rid of it and start over.

I have a wash bucket now, so this will make two so I can do the 2 bucket system.

I'm hoping the microfiber kit will give me all the towels I need, the PC kit should give me all the pads I need to repair the cars, and the SigII Combo is what I want for wax/spray polish.

ANY INPUT?

Thanks all! Feed back please:cheers:

I would peice togther a MF kit instead, the mf applicators absobd quit a bit more then foam pads. I really have never used the mf gloves. So you may want to double check the kit to make sure you are paying for items you're going to use. If you can build your own with better towels like the Cobra Jr.'s to replace the mf aplicators. Did you see this offer Special Purchase! 10 Pack Satin Edge 70/30 Microfiber Towels good price for 10 mf towels. Everything else looks good.

Grab some XMT 360. It is a very versatile product.

You could probably use that on the GTO, then move straight to a glaze or wax.

You may want to go with the UDM (Ultimate Detailing machine) instead of the Porter Cable. The UDM has more "horsepower" and the reviews that I've read have all said that it won't bog down like the PC will.

The UDM introductory kit does not include any polish, however, so you would need to get those separately.

I assumed the UDM was a more expensive product, but it appears I'm incorrect. $199 with pads & a bag? Seems like I'd need an orange cutting pad to work through some of the XMT swirl removers as well.

Why is it cheaper, but better? I know it is a new product, how many independent reviews have their been?

Thanks for the other input folks, I'll take that into consideration! Keep it comin!

Good move on the UDM. I used mine for the first time today and like it better than the PC.
I would get some Menzerna polishes and buy the CSS pads individually. Couple of orange, couple of green, white and maybe grey.
Poliseal or 360 are good AIO products you might want.
I would try the green mop head MF wash mitt. I used mine today and like it.
Some of the Duragloss products are also great and a good value.
Have fun.

Here goes an attempt to save you a little and spend a little. Meghan said that the white satin MF's are like the Cobra Indigo on one side and the Cobra Super Plush on the other. I'd scratch the 6 Super Plushes for now and buy one of each type Cobra to try them for your preferences. Oh yeh,add a Glass Waffle Weave.
I'd add XMT Pad Cleaner; XMT Pad Conditioner; and the Pad Brush.
Think I spent more than I saved. Same thing I do at home.
