First Time Use with my Porter Cable 7424 XP Hood Pictures

I always want to get a more powerful machine such as the flex 3401 to improve correction time over my PC.

But I just bought the optimum mf polishing pad and their hyper spray compound, polish and gps. So I will see if there is any improvement over foam pads and the m105/menz 203.

Louie, did you bought and used the Lake Country 5.5" flat pads? or dotted CCS ones?

What is the advantage of the 5.5 pads over the 6.5?

BTW use to own a 1970 442 that ran 10.80's and a 1987 442 with a 350 Olds that ran low 13's.
With minimal pressure applied to them, many detailers find that the 5.5 inch CCS Smart Pads move more efficiently on the paint and polishes break down with greater ease because there is less foam between backing plate and the paint to buffer heat. This is great news for vehicles with hard, ceramic clear coats. Now you can polish scratch-resistant clear coats successfully with your user-friendly DA polisher. Even with the smaller pads, a dual action polisher is still the safest way to detail. .... that quote is from Lake Country mfg. I read on several post here that they are better in removing swirl marks 6.5 harder to hold and maintain product

Flex 3401 would be my first choice if I was going to use something stronger

they are the dotted ones, also this is my first kit, I haven't tried out other pads, i'm sure I will just a matter of time, but from what I seen on my own vehicle it is really amazing

Looks awesome. Congrats on your new toy. When I got mine I was so excited and still love using it to this day

Looks very nice Louie. Keep up the good work and keep on posting the photos.

Louie, You did a great job on that hood. I found that the more I use my PC the bettter I get at it. I know that sounds funny but like anything you do. It is learned over time and profected by doing.
