Here are pics of my Copper Red Mica 2007 Mazda MX-5 after using a machine to polish/seal for the first time. Because it was in pretty good shape and it was dark outside when I started I don't have any before pics.

I'm happy with the results but it just doesn't "pop" like some of the other cars on here. I think I could have done better but being my first time to use a machine a was a little nervous and therefore I don't think I was using the Flex to it's full potential.

Products used:
-2 bucket wash w/ grit guards & Meg's Gold Class Shampoo & Conditioner
-Cleaned wheels w/ Megs Wheel cleaner
-dried with Cobra Guzzler MF
-Megs Smooth Surface Clay
-WG TSR 3.0 with Orange pad
-WG FG with White pad
-WF DGPS with Blue pad
-TW Tire protectant
-leather protectant on ragtop
-Stoner Invisible Glass on windows
-Megs Natural Shine on dash, etc.

Feed back please
I plan on putting a coat of Fusion on it once I buy some. I'm hoping that will give it the "pop" I want. If anyone has another suggestion, please let me know.

Because is feels so good to drive a freshly cleaned/polished car, I took the car out for a ride afterwards with the top down. I probably only went about 10-20 miles. However, when I got home the car was sooooo dusty it was unreal. I've never had that bad of a problem--even when I had black cars. For some reason it is acting like a dust magnet! I tried to dust it off with a clean MF but it just seem like I was making it worse and the dust was just being pushed around and put in "piles" around the car that wouldn't get picked up by the MF. Can anyone give me any idea as to why or better yet, how to stop this?

Any comments welcome.... :)

I'd say you did a great job! What few shots of the sun I can see look clear and little to no swirls or scratches. I would imagine the sealant you used could have used a nice carnauba wax on top of it to really bring out the color, but it looks really good! You should be proud.

Looks great to me! Good job:dblthumb2:

It may be a little easier to notice the dust now that you have it so clean

Before you go spending crazy amounts on Fuzion, try DP MaxWax. It is a hidden gem in my eyes when it comes to paint with a flake or any dark colors. In for advice on the dusting though. Good Job for a first time!

Dry dusting with a mf towel is not the way to go. Use a spray product designed to remove dust in conjunction with the towel. Car looks superb, love the color.

Thanks everyone. I think I'll use the WG QD on it. Hopefully that will help with the static/dust problem. I wanted to make sure the WGDGPS was fully cured before putting any "liquid" on it.

Thanks Mike. Getting your thumbs up means a lot :)
