I finally used these two products for the first time. The jury is still out and I'm going to have to each in other applications before I can make a really good judgement on either of them.

That being said, here is an initial impression working on an 9 year old metallic silver caddy Deville DTS.

The caddy had minor+ swirling, but I've kept up with it and done some hand-work on the car prior. I went over the car with meg 105/orange then meg 205/white. That paint is tough as nails compaired to other paint I've worked with.

85RD
I used 3-4 pea sized dots of 85rd on my 5.5" LC flat blue pad and did about 1/2 a panel (1/4 of the hood) at a time. The first thing I noticed is the work time. It takes a considerable amount of time to break this down.

By broken down, I mean that it was completely broken down into this clear liquid type product that wiped off clean on a white cloth.

I didn't have any dusting problems until it started getting REALLY hot out, but that was only on the last panel and a half of the car. Since I was working out doors (in the shade), I was subject to the 95 degree heat with 80% humidity.

Overall, I'd say that the end product was a nice shine that really lets the flake in the metallic silver pop. I still have some minor defects on the hood of the car (sorta looks like pitting), but nobody I've asked can see it and I've only caught it with two pictures at a crazy angle to the sun (I don't have them to share).

WG DGPS 3.0

As I said, it was HOT out. The surface of the car was cool to the touch, but the air temp and general nastiness of my situation was eased a bit by the product.

At first I was a little put off by the overwhelming chemical/acetone type odor when I put the bottle to my nose. I wasn't expecting that. I applied a decent circle of product on a 5.5" LC flat red pad and went to work on the hood. I didn't seem to get the coverage I was expecting, so I added a bit more and things started going on nicely.

Like my previous experience with applying any waxes/sealants with the PC, this was just as easy. A little learning curve when working with the absorbant pads, but I'd say I used about 1.5 oz of product from the 2 oz sample container.

After leaving it o the car for 45 minutes from the time I got inside, I went out with some of the Jr Deluxe microfibers. Removing the product was almost like wiping down a clean car. Super easy. Of course, in my rush to get back into the air conditioning, I left a few smudges on the car that I went back out an hour later and wiped off with zero effort.

The finish it left was very nice. In direct sunlight the flake in the car is really nice. Indirect sunlight from the setting sun has the car glowing.

Sorry for writing a book... here are the pics:

Oh c'mon. 15 views and not ONE reply? I'm not fishing for compliments, I'm looking for feedback.

Do you see something that I could do different? Do you have questions regarding my write-up? Is there a way I could take pictures that would better capture my results?

I have not used the 85rd yet. I got it with my last order, but, have not worked my paaint since. I am looking forward to trying it.

I love the look of DGPS. I would recommend taking it to the next level by adding a layer or 2 of your favorite wax over the sealant. I used Pinnacle SSII on my car last time. The shine is amazing. IT happens to be on BOGO right now.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually have an order all ready to go in my cart with Natty Red, the SSII (bogo), & MaxWax. Between my cars and the family/friend cars that I'm going to be 'helping out with', I figure that I might as well get a good supply to use on the various colors.

I'm planning on adding a top of Fuzion (memorial day sale pickup). I just couldn't do it today because of the 12 hour cure time on the DGPS.

You got some pretty good results with 85RD and DGPS! Those are two of my favorite products. I will be intersted in how much of a difference you notice after topping it with Fuzion. I should have bought some when it was on BOGO.

You will like the Fuzion a lot, easy on and off great looks. Nice write up, I like the Caddy a lot.

Get the fuzion, well worth the hype especially when it's on sale or BOGO

I've got the fuzion already. I just couldn't apply it. I've also got Liquid Souveran, Meg's #26, AutoGlym HD, Meg's Gold Class Paste, and a few other random waxes.

Since I've got pics now, I'll try to get some comparison pics in the same/similar light after the fuzion. Hopefully I can get to it tonight.

I note that in your second step you used M205 and white pad. Did you notice improvement in gloss after you polished with 85rd?

Fuzion Rocks. I own a collector car that is dark metallic brown. Fuzion promotes a nice metallic glow in direct sunlight. Overall surface shine is like glass from surface reflections of light. I have multiple coats of fuzion on the car. Shines well enough to get an award plaque at yesterday's home town fathers day car show. The wax is a little spendy but I would rate it a 10.

I really want to say that I did, but I think it is subjective. A friend, who couldn't see the swirls in the car before the process began, also couldn't identify an improvement from the 205 to the 85rd step and further after the applicaiton of the DGPS.

I do think that 85rd provided some more 'clarity' to the paint. After that step, I found myself admiring the flake more than I had done previously. I'm not sure if it is because of light conditions, because I was light headed from losing so much liquid in the 95degree heat, or what... but I do think it was a nicer finish after the 85rd.

The paint was certainly smooth and slick while putting on and taking off the DGPS and as you can see form the pictures, the finish is very nice. Since the sealed product is always a result of the steps and prep of the paint... yes the 85rd did help.

I put on a coat of the fuzion on the car tonight. It went on pretty good, but I wouldn't say it was the easiest thing to take off ever. The DGPS was easier.

The wetness, gloss, and depth that was added was nice. No pics right now because it was getting dark by the time I wiped the last of it off.

I'll try to grab a pic tomorrow when I get to work.

Exactly what i experienced with my fuzion. Rather amazed at first because it's unlike any carnauba that i have, i guess that polymer plays a part in that metallic glow. But when i look at it longer, it does behave like carnauba. Hard to describe but fuzion get you the best of both world: polymer & carnauba, just as described :D
