Hi guys, this is my first writeup on a car I did. I'm still a newbie at the whole detailing thing, but lurking the forums I've learned a lot. Anyways, on to the car.

This car belongs to a friend of mine and was kind enough to let me use his car as my "guinea pig" or my first real detailing. In exchange he's bought me more compound, pads, towels etc. Car is a 1998 Honda Civic that has been repainted with a single stage orange metallic. Car was horribly oxidized and had bad water spots etched into the finish. I did a two step with M105/M205 and it turned out awesome.

Wash:
-Dawn ultra concentrate

Clay:
-Clay Magic Blue fine clay

Paint correction:
-PC 7424xp
-M105 w/ LC Yellow and LC Hydrotech Cyan Pads
-M205 w LC hydrotech Tangerine pad

LSP:
-Blackfire Wet Diamond

If you notice, the glass is not done, my friend didn't want me to touch the glass he was going to do something with them along with new headlights.

Awesome job man! I dig that color. Also lovin that front lip spoiler and FMIC. Any stats on the car?

I hope you told your friend to keep coming back to you to maintain that finish :)

Car puts down 361whp with e85 and a GT3076r. All on a SOHC non-vtec. By far the fastest honda I've ever ridden in.

Very nice!

How long did that take?

All in all it took 17-18 hours +- a half hour or so.

Also, single stage paints suck, a few of my microfibers are permanantly stained. I've put them through the wash like 4 times, still stained.

Very nice job!
Great job with the scratches as well. fantastic detail.

Bitz: Awesome turn around!!

the paint looks so much better here

im a big fan of the SOHC engines. They can handle a TON of power. My 99ex was holding 200hp on pump gas on 10lbs and ended up seeing 25lbs of boost and wouldnt grip the road for anything in the rain. Light car + Power + Paint Correction = Happy owner!
