thanks! I didn't even clean the wheels haha..and only tidied up the interior..I was kinda like..im done lol

Lookin' good, I know what you mean, a few hours of learning the machine can really wear you out. What is the black stuff above the drivers door? Did it get corrected?

fingerprint dust..was on my car since the 12th :nomore:

Ah, I thought it had to do with the comment "..from when car was broken into :/" next to the pic. I was confused, still don't see any break-in damage... guess that's a good thing. :xyxthumbs:

Pretty righteous looking first try from what I see. It's like heading for Carnegie Hall.... practice, practice, practice. The guys that post the pics of the rolling mirrors have been polishing paint for years and years.

Can't get a clear look at it but the black grillwork looks pretty good. What do you use on it? I beat my head against the wall with black honeycombed grillwork on a Hyundai that was starting to chalk out. Virtually impossible to get into all the nooks and crannies with any hand-applied products. I discovered Meg's Accent Coating as well as their aerosol Trim Detailer (same product with a different smell as far as I could tell) and it is primo stuff for those types of areas. Leaves a deep black finish that lasts for numerous washings. Looks best if reapplied every couple of months.

Hey TL, where did you get your megs accent coating from, because i too have the honeycomb grilling on my vehicle and it is truly a pain, but when done right, looks great whens its all cleaned up

I didn't use anything on it. Its rattle canned (was blue when I bought it) so every once in a while I take it out and sand it down and repaint it. I didn't do that to long ago so it still looks decent.

All this was mainly getting paintwork experience (so basically all I did..nothing on the trims/grille/wheels/exhaust). I didn't do the best job..if I had a better camera I would post some of the still present scratches and swirls..but hard to do with this camera.

as you can see..the bottom lip is chipping. Didn't want it to to get worse before I corrected it.

Figured I would add what I used/did

Optimum Car wash
PC 7424xp
Optimum Compound II (Orange CCS), Optimum Polish II (White CCS), Mez's 85d (Grey)
Poor boys Sealant EX (Blue)
Wolfgang Fuzion
Wolfgang Tire Gel
DP Glass Cleaner

I got the Accent Coating from ADS. I see on the Megs site they now appear to be calling it Accent Dressing. It's in the Detailer line. The Trim Detailer is available OTC. It has a 3-setting sprayer that's kinda handy, smells totally different but I can't tell any difference in application.

Both wipe right off paintwork if you're a little sloppy. I put a fresh coat of wax on the paint around the trim just in case... no worries. Any residue wipes right off. Don't know if it dries to a high shine because I wipe the excess off for a matte finish.

These work wonders on honeycomb panels. Found one laying around in dad's garage and never looked back. Use this with APC 1:1 and you're good to go.

I can get Trim Detailer at the local Pep Boys for around $7 or $8.

BTW, nice job for your first time! Lookin' good! :props:
