hi all... well as you see I´m from Argentina and English is not my native language so please sorry for my lack of vocabulary...

this is my car and was my first attempt , i did not clay the paint so that was my first error.. secondly if you see the pics you will see the tape mark...

the car has severals swirl marks but I think they are low to intermediate

in the left part I used a CCS white pad with a polish with carnauba from poorboys world...

on the other side y used CCS orange pad and poorboys SR2

i just wanted to test both products waiting a glossy and shiny finish and of course remove some swirl but instead of that I was blessed with some holograms!!!

please look that I highlighted where the tape was... actually I see the left part more shiny and clear that right part ...

I did it at night with poor light and I didn´t see it after finished... after that I applied manually a coat of wax..... here a pic...

swirl don´t go...

my actually inventory is all types of pads, wolfangs, pinnacle, meguiars and poorboys that I ordered last month....

I used a dewault dwp 849x because here in argentina does not exist dual action polishers like flex / meguiars and porter cable so my best option was dewault orbital...

I read a lot of material saying that I should erase with a DA but I can´t access to one..

Please a little help trying to remove them....

thanks a lot and for the patience...

Feed back please

Go over the holograms with a finishing polish and pad combination, Poorboy's Polish with Carnauba is probably a good choice... it worked on the passenger side of the hood didn't it? Repeat what worked there.

The orange pad isn't a finishing pad and tends to leave marks behind, so it would be expected that orange w/ SSR2 would not finish perfectly on black paint.

thanks david... yes! I worked on passenger side with polish with wash but I have a few holograms too, less than driver´s side but I got them....

so you recommend to wash again the hook , clay it , and apply again poorboys? what about meguiars UC? or pinnacle?

I assummed that holograms are part of the technique with a orbital buffer and not of the process of polish, finishing and waxed.... or do I have the wrong perception and every time you use a orbital buffer you get holograms and them you remove it with a finishing process?
