Hi All,

The front lower grille on my bumper has a small ding on it that has caused the straight "lines" of the bumper to have a bump in them. It makes the car look significantly less aggressive and was wondering how easy it might be to flatten the bump out with a heat gun. It is a very small ding.

Also is it easy to ruine the paint?

Simple answer is don't do it. Heat guns are used to darken faded plastics.

I've done it but I removed the bumper and applied the heat from the backside.

Yeah like mentioned don't do it you'll cause a bigger problem than it's worth honestly. you could probably take it to a bodyshop a highly rated one obviously they could probaly fix it for you with a price point of around $120-210. little steap but well worth in the long run.
